Cynthia W. Hu, JD. Ms. Hu joined EntreMed in June 2006 as Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary and was appointed Chief Operating Officer in December 2008. Mark R. Bray, PhD. Dr. Bray joined EntreMed in January 2006 as Senior Director, Research and in November 2007, Dr. Bray was promoted to Vice President, Research. Dr. Bray has spent his scientific career working towards the development of drugs for oncology and inflammatory diseases. Dr. Bray joined EntreMed in 2006 following the acquisition of Miikana Therapeutics, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company co-founded by Dr. Bray and others, which was focused on the development of targeted therapeutics for the treatment of cancer. Professor of Immunology, and President, Karolinska Institute Professor Wigzell has been the President of the Karolinska Institute since 1995. He graduated from the Karolinska Institute as a Physician (MD). He also attained a DSc and took a post as a special cancer scientist with the Swedish Cancer Society. In 1971 he returned to the Karolinska as Acting Associate Professor in the Department of Tumor Biology. After two years he became a Professor in the Department of Immunology at Uppsala University Medical School. Dr. Mak is Director of The Campbell Family Institute for Breast Cancer Research, and Professor, University of Toronto, Departments of Medical Biophysics and Immunology. He served as Vice President of Research, Amgen, Inc. and Director of the Amgen Research Institute (Toronto) from 1993 to 2002. Dr. Mak is internationally recognized for his breakthrough discoveries in cancer genetics, immunology, molecular biology and virology. James S. Burns became a Director of Vermillion in 2006. He served as President & CEO of Entremed from June 2004 until December 2008. Jennie C. Hunter-Cevera, Ph.D. has served as President of the University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute since October of 1999. Prior to this, she was the Director of the Center for Environmental Biotechnology at the E. O. Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory which was a collaborative effort between the Lab and the University of California at Berkeley. Earlier, she was co-founder of two small companies (The Biotic Network and Blue Sky Research) that did contract work for large pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and also consulted for five years in a variety of biotechnology fields. For 10 years Dr. Hunter-Cevera was employed at Cetus Corporation and served as the Director of Fermentation, Research and Development and before that at E. R. Squibb and Sons as a Research Scientist. Dr. Hunter-Cevera has served as President of the Society of Industrial Microbiology (SIM), of the United States Federation of Culture Collections (USFCC) and of the International Marine Biotechnology Association (IMBA). She served as Senior Editor for the Journal of Industrial Microbiology for ten years. Dr. Hunter-Cevera also served as a member on former USDA Secretary Glickman's Genetic Resources Advisory Board and President Clinton's State Department Council on Genetically Modified Foods. Dr. Hunter-Cevera also served as the United States representative to the OECD on Biological Resource Centers. She has given more than 70 invited lectures and keynote presentations and is the author of several papers, chapters, and books, as well as the holder of three patents and 15 pending patents. Dr. Hunter-Cevera was elected to the American Academy of Microbiology in 1995, received the 1996 SIM Charles Porter Award, and was elected as a SIM Fellow in 1997. She was the West Virginia University Nath Lecturer in 1999 and appointed by Governor Glendening as Maryland's Science and Technology Representative for the Southern Governor's Association in 2000. Dr. Hunter-Cevera was honored by her alma mata, West Virginia University, as the 2003 recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award. In 2004, Dr. Hunter-Cevera was the recipient of the USFCC/J. Roger Porter Award. Supported by the United States Federation for Culture Collections (USFCC) and ASM, the award recognized Dr. Hunter-Cevera's expertise in collecting, maintaining, and preserving microbial cultures. She was honored as one of Maryland's Top 100 Women for 2003 and 2007. She was recognized in 2007 as one of the 50 Most Influential People in Maryland. Dr. Hunter-Cevera served on Governor Ehrlich's Technology Commission for the State of Maryland and was one of six members of the Governor's Executive Council for Transition. She currently sits on the State of Maryland's Task Force on Minority Participation in the Environmental Community and several sub-committees for the Maryland Life Science Authority Commission in addition to several other non-profit and for profit board of directors including BioIT.

Dr. Weinblatt is Co-Director of Clinical Rheumatology at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Mr. Knight has been a Director of the Company since June 2000. Mr. Knight has been President of Generation Investment Management US, a London-based asset management company, since August 2004. From 2001-2003, he was a Managing Director of MetWest Financial. Prior to that, Mr. Knight s business experience included serving as general counsel of Medicis Pharmaceutical and a practicing attorney. Mr. Knight s experience also includes serving as chief of staff to Al Gore when Mr. Gore was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives and later the U.S. Senate and holding senior positions with four presidential campaigns, including serving as campaign manager for the successful 1996 re-election of President Clinton. Mr. Knight currently serves as a director of Medicis Pharmaceutical Corp. and Par Pharmaceuticals. He is also a director of Schroders mutual fund and hedge fund family, a member of the Cornell University College of Arts and Sciences Advisory Council, and the Johnson Schools Center for Sustainable Global Enterprise.
