Henri Barthel is the technical director of EPCglobal and GS1. He is responsible for leading the research and development work performed in collaboration with Auto-ID Labs for liaising with solution providers, for providing technical support to the GS1 member organisations and for representing EPCglobal and GS1 in external standardisation bodies. He is also chairman of the ISO working group dealing with RFID standardisation for item management.

Paul Rasband, PhD, VP RFID Strategy. While at Westvaco Corporation, Paul was author of gap analyses and strategic investigations in smart packaging, RFID tags, and RFID infrastructure, and was co-founder of the Intelligent Systems division in 2001. Paul's experience in the RFID industry includes intense involvement in MIT's Auto ID Center and EPCglobal. He is also the author of several key patents in advanced antenna networks and network management systems. Paul received his PhD in chemical engineering and materials science from Cornell University (electronic materials and devices emphasis).

Rupert Schmidtberg joined Sensitech as Vice President, Information Services in January 1998 and was promoted to Chief Technology Officer in 2000. He is responsible for all aspects of the company's systems development, network and data hosting operations, and its initiative to significantly expand its intellectual property position. Rupert is an active member of EPCglobal and is leading Sensitech in its adoption of RFID and related software applications. Rupert was Vice President, Engineering for Vibrint Technologies, a start-up developing digital video server, video editing and media database products. Prior to that he served in a number of senior executive roles with the MacNeal-Schwendler/Aires Corporation, a Finite Element Modeling and Analysis company, including Vice President, New Market Development, Vice President, Product Development, and Director, Application Software Development. He earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from McMaster University in Ontario, Canada.

As a Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO) for LG Electronics, Didier Chenneveau has global responsibility for the company's supply chain management. He is based at LG's headquarters in Seoul, Korea. Before joining LG in 2008, Mr. Chenneveau was Vice President of Americas Operations for HP's Imaging and Printing Business, based in San Diego, USA. He has also worked for HP in Europe, running its Consumer PC Business and in various financial and operations management roles. Prior to HP, Mr. Chenneveau worked for Caterpillar. Didier Chenneveau is a native of France and citizen of Switzerland. He is an alumnus of EM-Lyon and INSEAD and a board member of EPCglobal.

Jeffrey Tazelaar is a seasoned RFID professional with real world RFID experience. He recently was a Programmer Analyst at Wal-Mart, the world's largest retailer, where he was responsible for installing and deploying RFID solutions at the Wal-Mart retail stores, Wal-Mart distribution centers, and Sam's Clubs across the country. As a leader of Wal-Mart's RFID Strategy Team, he identified, developed and specified new RFID retail applications such as the Fork Truck Mount and the RFID-enabled Bailer. Jeff has a Master of Science in Packaging from Michigan State University, is a member of several EPCglobal working groups and author of various RFID articles including: Four Steps to Making RFID Work for You, Harvard Business Review, Supply Chain Strategy Newsletter, February, 2006.

Anand founded Commerce Events in March 2001 and pioneered the application of RFID and wireless computing to create sense-and-respond networks. He has seventeen plus years of experience creating and implementing business enterprise architecture for the Department of Defense (DOD) and the commercial sector. Anand formulated the product strategy for AdaptLink , the pioneer RFID middleware product, and led successful enterprise wide deployments including a multi-site rollout in the Air Force supply chain. He is a founding member of EPCglobal, INCITS T20 RTLS committee and author of the widely acclaimed book, RFID Security. Previously he was Vice President with SAIC where he led the RFID practice across several industry verticals and completed global rollouts of RFID infrastructure across America, Asia, Europe and South Africa. He served as the corporate contact for VeriSign and played a key role in shaping the EPCglobal Network for federal and commercial corporations. Earlier, he was Principal Architect at BEA Systems responsible for conceptualizing and building the Weblogic Integration suite of products. He has been a significant contributor to ebXML and RosettaNet standard committees and was the driving force behind the early adoption of service-oriented architecture. Anand has held senior management positions at Vitria, Tibco, Adept, Autodesk and Intergraph. Anand has Bachelor of Technology (Honors) from IIT Kharagpur and Master of Science from Columbia University with specialization in computer integrated manufacturing. He served as the past chairman of NVTC's ebusiness committee and is a charter member of TIE Washington DC. Anand and his wife, Annapurna, and their two children live in the Greater Washington DC area.
