Equity was founded in 1967. In January 2003, W. E. Kingsley Co. was acquired by RPS and in early 2003 the offices of Kingsley were merged into Equity's office. Kingsley was founded in 1944. RPS represents a number of specialty insurance carriers either as a managing general agent or as a broker.
