Both units have their own channels to the market but are sharing a common technology foundation. Broadband Cable Networks (BCN) business unit is providing solutions for digital video and broadband access networks where the biggest customer group is the cable operators. The digital video solutions are independent of the access network and could be deployed by telecommunications operators as well. The offered access network solutions consist of hybrid fibre coax (HFC) solutions for the cable operators as well as deep fibre solutions. Video Networks (VN) business unit is engaged in digital transmission systems for surveillance, monitoring and security. Teleste VN focuses on the high-end segment of the market with requirements of TV quality real time video, audio and data and is able to offer a total solution between the camera and the control room including transmission, recording and a complete management software system. Teleste Corporation is founded in 1954 and has its head office in Turku, Finland. The company is since 1999 listed in the Helsinki Exchanges.
