He has more than 15 years of experience managing software projects and programming teams, most recently from the online conference provider -- Placeware/Microsoft -- where he was the engineering site manager for the Portland development team involved in the development of Microsoft Office Live Meeting. Bacus also has solid experience in enterprise manageability applications and software design through his positions at McAffee/Network Associates and QuadraMed. With more than 20 years of experience in the software publishing arena, Berson has been involved with practically every aspect of software development and publishing. Berson joined Extensis in 2003 following the acquisition of his company, DiamondSoft. Founded in 1996, DiamondSoft is the software developer of the Font Reserve product line. Berson brings to Extensis not only his vast experience in software publishing and specifically font management, but also his experience in successfully working with corporate customers and a solid understanding of the creative publishing markets. Berson earned his bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of California at Berkeley. He also holds a master's degree in business administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley.
