Far East National Bank (FENB) was founded in 1974 as the first federally chartered Asian American bank in the United States. FENB has over 350 employees and total assets exceeding US$2.05 billion. FENB became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Taiwan's Bank SinoPac (a member of SinoPac Holdings) in 1997. SinoPac Holdings has total assets of US$34 billion, serving more than 2.5 million customers throughout Asia and North America from over 220 service locations. Through SinoPac Holdings' extensive financial network in the Pacific Rim, FENB now provides its customers with a unique financial service platform to help integrate their business interests in the United States, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Vietnam. Both corporate and individual banking services are provided through a total of 13 branches in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco, and Oakland, along with an overseas Beijing Representative Office, and a branch in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The Bank provides a wide spectrum of financial services, which encompass commercial real estate lending, corporate banking, investments, treasury and foreign exchange, small business loans, mortgages, and other consumer businesses.
