Michael Basch, CEO, is a former founding member and Senior Vice President of Federal Express. He started at FedEx during their start-up phase and spent 10 years there with varying responsibilities including the invention of the bar code tracking system, founding the logistics division and building the company's central sorting operation. He was part of an "explosively creative management team" that was lauded by Fortune magazine as one of the best managed companies of the decade (1970s).

Gregg Berggren finally fulfilled his lifelong desire to study martial arts when, at the age of 37, he signed up for classes at Sierra Jujitsu and Karate with his oldest son, who was then seven. That was in 1996, and the Martial Arts are now an important part of his life. Gregg is married to his wife Lynn, and has three children: Matthew, Kara, and Christopher. He is the Operations Manager for Federal Express.

Prior to joining Full Capture, Charles was with St. Paul Travelers, where he was Director-Research in their Personal Lines division. He has over twelve years of data mining experience. Prior to Travelers, Charles' corporate experience includes Manager - Credit Risk Modeling at U.S. Bank; Vice President Database Marketing at Citibank Latin America; Assistant Vice President Statistical Modeling at Bank of America (Nations Bank); Senior Analyst at Advanta; and Senior Analyst at Federal Express. He also was a partner in a consulting business specializing in Database Marketing, Data Mining and Data Warehousing. Charles earned a Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics from the State University of New York Binghamton. He attended Texas A&M University on a Ford Foundation Scholarship and earned a B.S. in Physics from Jilin University in Changchun, China.

Dr. Charles Bishop is the founder and president of Chicago Change Partners. Dr. Bishop has a proven senior executive track record 20 years as a key leader in organizations undergoing significant change. The companies where Charlie played an early-on, design-development role are well recognized: Federal Express, Baxter, International, NationsBanks (now Bank of America), Gatorade and ADT Security Services. Many of his ideas are contained in his book, Making Change Happen One Person at a Time, published by AMACOM in September 2000. His book was cited by the University of Michigan as one of the ten "must have" books on change in the past forty years. Charlie is currently focusing on helping leaders and organizations successfully navigate "challenging" change. His areas of expertise include helping to link the human dimension to the direction of the firm, and ensuring clients achieve optimal execution of defined plans. Dr. Bishop earned his PhD from the University of Georgia. David Short has served as Senior Attorney, Regulatory & International Affairs for Federal Express Corporation since June 2003. In this capacity, he handles relations with governments in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Indian Subcontinent, Latin America, and Canada and has responsibility for a number of U.S. Government regulatory matters. Prior to joining Federal Express, Mr. Short was Director of the IATA Legal Department, based in Geneva, Switzerland, from May 1997. He played a prominent role in the development of IATA's October 2000 application to ICANN to sponsor the ".travel" Internet Top Level Domain. Before joining IATA, Mr. Short was with the Washington, D.C. office of the U.S. law firm Baker & Hostetler, and prior to that he was Director-Taxation for British Airways, based in New York. Mr. Short received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University, summa cum laude, and went on to receive Juris Doctor and Master of Public Administration degrees from the University of Southern California, where he was Editor of the Law Review. He is a Member of the District of Columbia Bar.

Gary Clark is Vice President of Allegro. His specialty is in diversity training with emphasis on leadership and management roles in a multicultural work environment. His early years in management in the hospitality industry have given him real life experiences and keen insights into the difference between cultures in employee relations and customer service. Gary is a key player in building Allegro's client base with internationally known AT&T, Federal Express and Enterprise Rent-a-Car. Gary Clark is committed to teaching individuals and organizations how to retain diverse employees and customers and increase bottom line.

Jason has been apart of the CY community since 1997. Jason has volunteered in a number of special projects including the Festival, Festival 4-Miler, Home Tour, Members Count Campaign, Art for Arts Sake, and Community Clean-ups. Jason is a project engineer for Federal Express. He is a graduated of the University of Memphis. Jason's broad experience as a volunteer will bring both knowledge and perspective to upcoming projects.Jason says "My goal is to continue to encourage community involvement and pride in Cooper-Young".

Jim is founder and Chairman of a private investment company, Global Brand Development. He is Advisory Director of MAST Global Ltd, the investment-banking arm of the Monitor Group. Jim is the former CEO of Volvo UK, Thorn EMI Home Electronics, and Laura Ashley PLC. He has been a non-executive director of British Airports Authority PLC, Guest PLC, Progressive Insurance, Scottish Provident Insurance, Dawson International PLC, and many private venture companies. He advises Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 companies around the world.

Matt Whiting begins his 11th year as field assistant after serving as a member of the flugelhorn section in the band for five years from 1982-86. He is a graduate of McFarland High School and holds three degrees from the University of Wisconsin majoring in Earth Science, Communication Arts and History. Prior to his service with the band, Matt spent six years in the US Marine Corps where he was a sergeant of infantry. He is presently very active in Alumni Band activities and is a member of the UW Band Alumni Association Steering Committee. Matt currently is employed by Federal Express working with aircraft and airliners.

In his role as vice president of engineering, Mike McGonagle is responsible for helping Deploy's product offerings grow and mature to support the near- and long-term goals of the company. McGonagle brings extensive experience to Deploy in deploying mission-critical applications for large customers including such organizations as Tetley Tea, Eli Lilly, Ingersoll-Rand, The Boston Globe, Nissan and Federal Express. McGonagle brings more than 28 years of experience in commercial software development to his role at Deploy. After starting his career in the mainframe, time-sharing environment, McGonagle spent 10 years developing commercial products for the mini-computer marketplace at several different companies before spearheading Cullinet Software's first client-server research efforts. This initial client-server exposure has been followed by major product development efforts at Atex, Praxis, MarketPulse, Xchange and Exchange Solutions. In 1994, McGonagle co-founded Xchange and directed the growth of the product family and the R&D organization for over six years of rapid growth as Xchange became an industry leader in the CRM industry. McGonagle holds a B.S in Mathematics from Lowell Tech and a Master's in Mathematics from Brown University.

Ms. Aaron joined Brown & Brown of Texas, Inc. in 2006 as Claim Service Executive. Her extensive experience comes from over almost a quarter century of claim service experience through a variety of roles, including line, professional and leadership claim positions with companies such as Executive Risk Consultants, EBI, CNA Insurance and Conroe Independent School District. As a Property / Casualty claim adjuster, she exclusively handled property claims for Security Funding Insurance Corporation for six years. Later she became a Senior Workers' Compensation adjuster with Executive Risk Consultants and later at CNA Insurance where she gained more than a decade's worth of in-depth Workers' Compensation industry experience in the areas of claim management & reporting, unit statistical analysis, experience modification factor calculation, and return to work programs. Ms. Aaron's background helps her show our prospective clients exactly how their claims have been poorly managed in the past by their former (or current) agents and insurance carriers. In most cases, she can almost always identify claim handling mistakes that have caused insurance buyers to unnecessarily overpay. She takes an active role in carefully managing the claim service experience of Brown & Brown's clients and helps them avoid the common pitfalls of not fully understanding the complex Workers' Compensation system. In addition to her deep knowledge of Property and Workers' Compensation claims, she has handled and supervised all aspects of General Liability, Professional Liability, and Automobile claims. Her background includes claim service responsibility for many large clients including, Central Parking System, First Hospital Corporation, RCX Knox & Company, and Federal Express Corporation. Ms. Aaron is a licensed all lines claim adjuster and specializes in the areas of claim reserve evaluation (and negotiation), workers' compensation modification factor disputes, medical management, loss control, litigation and subrogation management. In addition to her live work experience, she has also completed over 400 hours of classroom and industry continuing education.

Thal-Slocum became part of the BentProp Project team featured in Last Flight Home after receiving an invitation from fellow team member Daniel T. O'Brien. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering and an Associate of Arts degree in Pro-Pilot Technology. She also holds numerous world skydiving records and received the Top 25 Pilot Award from the National Intercollegiate Flying Association. She is currently an airline captain for Federal Express.

Viola Kaye Williams-Smith, who likes to be called "Kaye," was born to Tollie and Eleanor Williams on September 5, 1957 in Bryan, Texas. She was raised in College Station, Texas until August 1963 when her family moved to Anchorage, Alaska. They moved to Anchorage because her mother wanted to be closer to her older sister, Vanee Robinson. Kaye still lives in Anchorage today. Kaye was married August 14, 1976 to Robert London Smith Jr., in Anchorage, Alaska and of the union two children were born:: Zakiya Aisha Smith-Oates (born October 2, 1979) and Robert London Smith III (born August 2, 1981). However, Kaye and Robert separated, and she met Demetrius T. Wiley. The relationship with Demetrius T Wiley, produced two children as well, Kiera Monee' Wiley (born August 5, 1997) and Kie'rhon Mason Wiley (born April 5, 2000). Her oldest daughter, Zakiya married Ahla-Taki Oates and blessed Kaye with a beautiful grandson, Ahla-Ramero Zadahn Oates (born April 13, 2003). Viola Kaye Williams-Smith favorite saying is, "God is good, and he is God, always..." She worships at Immanuel Baptist Church, and is very active in her community. She volunteers at Chinook Elementary School, is a PTA member, and is involved in numerous other volunteer projects. When not volunteering she enjoys family outings and get-togethers with friends. Kaye graduated from Dimond High school, and was very active in sports. She was on the Basketball, Volleyball, and Track and Field team. Today, she is the Senior Freight Movement Administrator at Federal Express, and also works as a Sales Associate for Prudential Jack White Vista.

Judy Estrin is the CEO of Packet Design, LLC and Chairman of the Board of Packet Design, Inc. She previously co-founded three technology companies. Bridge Communications, founded in 1981, was a vendor of internetwork routers and bridges that went public in 1985 and merged with 3Com Corp. in 1987; Estrin served as engineering vice president and executive vice president of Bridge, and later ran the Bridge Communications Division at 3Com. Network Computing Devices, a maker of X terminals and PC-UNIX integration software, was founded in 1988 and went public in 1992; Estrin started with NCD as executive vice president and became CEO in 1993. Estrin served as CEO of Precept Software from the company's 1995 founding as a maker of streaming video software. When Cisco Systems acquired Precept in 1998, she became Cisco's chief technology officer until April 2000. Estrin has been named three times to Fortune Magazine's list of the 50 most powerful women in American business. She sits on the boards of directors of The Walt Disney Company and The Federal Express Corporation. She holds a B.S. degree in math and computer science from UCLA, and an M.S. in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
