Vice-President Investor Relations and Secretary of the Company, director from 1993 through 2004, when he did not stand for reelection, and financial consultant to the Company from its inception through April 1993.

Brian served in the role of President and Chief Executive Officer from May 2002 to May 2006. Brian has served on the Solium Board of Directors since 2001. Prior to joining Solium full-time, Brian founded and was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Stormworks Ltd., a privately held e-business services company that was acquired by Solium. Brian is a principal at a Calgary-based venture capital company called Adventure Capital. Through this vehicle Brian invests in many early-stage companies, including energy and technology companies. Brian has acquired Board and Audit Committee experience at several business he has been involved with, including public and private companies. Brian is an engineer, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the University of New Brunswick (Fredericton) in 1981.

Aleksander Nowak has more than 30 years’ experience with POGC, most recently as the Director of the Export and Marketing Division and previously as Technical Director for POGC’s Exploration Oil and Gas Company in Wolomin. He has worked internationally supervising drilling operations for POGC in Kuwait, India, Zaire and Libya. Mr. Nowak is a graduate of the Mining and Metallurgy Academy at the University of Krakow and holds a Masters Degree in Reservoir Engineering.

Bhoopal R. Naini has 22 years of geophysical experience with Saudi Aramco, British Petroleum and Gulf Oil. He is credited with opening of a new gas basin in Saudi Arabia where 15 Tcf of gas have been discovered. He has experience in 2D and 3D seismic acquisition, VSP, inversion, azimuthal anisotropy and AVO. In addition to working in Saudi Arabia he has also worked in the North Sea, Asia and Africa. Mr. Naini has a B.S. and M.S. degree in Geology and Geophysics from Osmania University, India, and a Masters and Ph.D. in Geophysics from Columbia University, New York.

Our Country Manager in Poland is Zbigniew Tatys, the former General Director of POGC's Upstream Exploration and Production Division. During his 20-year career with POGC, he rose through the ranks as a production engineer and was serving as Vice Chairman of POGC at the time of his retirement. Mr. Tatys has unique qualifications to lead us through our transition from a pure exploration company to a natural gas and oil producer in Poland.

Retired from Devon Energy, Corp. (DVN: NYSE) in 2001 after twenty years as a senior financial executive, including Senior Vice President of Corporate Development.

Executive Vice President and Chairman Over 30 years energy investment banking experience with Dillon Read., Blyth, Eastman Dillon, Paine Webber, and Prudential. Graduate of MIT-BS and Harvard-MBA.
