Gregory D. Green is the chairman and chief executive officer of OneEighty Networks Inc., a regional leader in broadband Internet, private line and hosting solutions. Green formed the company in March of 2002 following an acquisition of Avista Communications' broadband data customers and assets. Prior to forming OneEighty, Green served as president and CEO of Avista Communications. Green was instrumental in growing the business from it's inception in 1998. In 1995, he joined Nextlink when the Craig McCaw-controlled company acquired Tel-West Central Services. After the acquisition, Green served as president of Nextlink Washington and was responsible for overseeing the Northwest business operations as well as the development of new market opportunities. In 1984, Green formed Tel-West Communications in Spokane to sell and service business telephone systems. Later, Green added a sister company, Tel-West Central Services, that became the first company to provide competitive local exchange services in Spokane and the second in the state of Washington. Green has real estate and technology business investments in the local community. He currently serves on several local Boards, Gonzaga University's Hogan Entrepreneurial Program and Board of Regents, the Spokane Food Bank, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Downtown Spokane Partnership and CONNECT Northwest. Green is a strong advocate that education is fundamental to success, thus he established the Greg Green Foundation which began as a scholarship fund to benefit University High School students more than ten years ago. Today the foundation has grown to support underprivileged children, local arts, the environment, economic growth, health care research and human rights. Green has a unique vision of the communications industry and has maintained the ability to stay at the forefront of the industry and its competition. Green believes in a culture of empowerment in his investment organizations as well as a focus on what he believes is the number one asset to any company, its customer.
