Jesse Devitte is the Chairman of the Software Association of New Hampshire (SwANH). Jesse is also President of Vertical Market Ventures (VMV), a firm dedicated to helping build great 21st Century Technology Companies through Angel Investing and Strategic Management Coaching. Prior to founding VMV, Jesse served as an Executive in two public Software companies. Jesse helped grow Softdesk from a small New Hampshire based software company with a handful of employees to a multinational organization with offices around the globe. Throughout the process there were numerous acquisitions, a successful IPO, and the eventual sale of the business to Autodesk, the 4th largest PC Software company in the world with 1999 revenues of over $800M. Mr. Devitte was a member of the Softdesk Board of Directors and served in a number of executive positions at Softdesk including Executive Vice President and President for the year the company prepared to go public. Under Jesse s management, Softdesk was credited with building the strongest Reseller Channel in the industry. While at Autodesk, Jesse led the integration of the two companies and served on the Autodesk Executive Staff as the Vice President and General Manager of the Architecture, Engineering and Construction division. Mr. Devitte is on the Board of Advisors for Beansprout Networks and synTelate Corporation and serves as a Director of ManagedOps.com and the Merchantbanc.com. He is a member of the Advisory Council for Junior Achievement of New Hampshire, and has been appointed by NH Governor Jeanne Shaheen to the Governor's International Trade Advisory Commission, the NH Workplace Opportunity Council and as a Commissioner on the State of New Hampshire s Blue Ribbon Commission on Education Funding. Mr. Devitte is also a Founding Member of Network NH and NH eCares. Network NH and NH eCares are both newly formed technology industry business groups working to brand NH and secure financial and human capital for entrepreneurs building businesses in the State. Mr. Devitte was the NH Chairman of the Elizabeth Dole for President Campaign and currently serves as a member of the Bush For President National Information Technology Council. He graduated with Distinction from the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs and completed his military service in the White House Communications Agency during the Ford and Carter administrations.
