Ray gained his PhD at Bristol University in 1978 and joined Instron where he led the transducer design team progressing to technical director and finally research director for the corporation. A Visiting Professor at Oxford University and member of BSI, he represents the UK internationally for materials testing standards.

Steve Souza, a managing principal with Oliver Wight, is president of Oliver Wight Public Education. He has been a consultant and educator providing manufacturing and distribution companies with guidance on design and implementation of integrated supply chain processes since 1985. Steve brings to his consulting engagements years of experience in general management, manufacturing, materials and logistics management positions with Oliver Wight, Instron Corporation, Bose Corporation, and the Foxboro Company. Both as a practitioner and a consultant, Steve has guided many business improvement initiatives to Class A level performance.

Mr. Ayers is the retired Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Stanley Works, a tool and hardware manufacturer. He was an advisor to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Stanley from January 1997 to October 1997 after having served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Stanley from May 1989 to December 1996. Mr. Ayers is a Trustee of MassMutual Institutional Funds and MML Series Investment Fund and a director of Instron Corporation.
