Prof. Anthony Dayan is Scientific Advisor for Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Limited. He is presently Emeritus Professor of Toxicology at the University of London. Prior to this, he was appointed as the first Professor of Toxicology and Director of the Department of Toxicology at St. Bartholomew's Hospital [University of London] and Honorary Consultant Physician from where he retired in 1998. Prof. Dayan started his career with National Hospitals in London in 1968. After working with the Wellcome Foundation from 1973 to 1984, he joined the Department of Toxicology at St. Bartholomew's Hospital [University of London] as the first Professor of Toxicology and Director and Honorary Consultant Physician. He retired from that post in 1998. Since 1984, Prof. Dayan has been appointed to official UK and other government advisory committees concerned with chemicals and medicines, and has also been a Temporary Adviser to the WHO and the IPCS. Additionally, he has been a consultant to UK, North American Japanese and European companies on diverse toxicological aspects of conventional pharmaceuticals and recombinant DNA products, and medical devices, as well as pesticides, industrial and consumer chemicals. In addition to being member of many scientific societies like the Royal Society of Medicine [Past President of Comparative Medicine Section; Council member 1999-2003], Prof. Dayan has also been a member and Chairman of Research Ethics Committees in various hospitals and other research establishments since 1984. An MBBS with Honours from the University of London, Prof. Dayan got his MD from the same university in 1968. He has a number of academic degrees to his credit, the latest being a Ll. B. from Open University in 2004.

Peter Dawson Ph.D, M Inst.P., FRCP, FRCR is Professor of Medical Imaging in the University of London and Consultant Radiologist at the University College Hospitals, London. He received First Class Honours B.Sc and Ph.D degrees in Physics from the University of London and subsequently qualified in medicine and radiology. He is the author of some 250 papers and books on aspects of medical imaging, his special interests being in cross-sectional imaging, in contrast enhancing agent chemistry, pharmacology and pharmacokinetics and in physiological imaging. He is a Past-President of the British Institute of Radiology and a current Council Member of the Royal College of Radiologists. He has been Visiting Professor at many institutions world-wide, serves on several Editorial Boards and in a variety of capacities in numerous scientific and professional societies. He is a winner of both the British Institute of Radiology Barclay Prize and Medal. He joined the ICRU in 1997.

Sir Michael Llewellyn-Smith had a distinguished career in the British diplomatic service, including postings to Moscow, Paris and Athens, culminating in positions as British Ambassador to Poland (1991-1996) and then British Ambassador to Greece (1996-1999). He is currently a member of the council of London University, vice president of the British School of Athens and member of the council of the Anglo-Hellenic League.
