Lowe's Companies Inc.

Robert Niblock is chairman and chief executive officer of Lowe's Companies, Inc., a position he has held since January 2005. He also served as Lowe’s president from 2003 to 2006, and joined the board of directors when he was named chairman and CEO-elect in 2004. Niblock joined Lowe’s in 1993, and during his career with the company, has served as vice president and treasurer, senior vice president, and executive vice president and CFO. Before joining Lowe’s, Niblock had a nine-year career with accounting firm Ernst & Young. Niblock was elected chairman of the Retail Industry Leaders Association in January 2008. He has been a member of the organization since 2003 and served as its vice chairman in 2006 and 2007. He co-chairs the North Carolina State University Business Committee on Energy, a group of business leaders examining the challenges and opportunities in the state’s new energy economy. Niblock is a graduate of the University of North Carolina-Charlotte.

Larry Stone has served as Lowe’s president and chief operating officer since 2006 and is responsible for store operations; merchandising; marketing; logistics and distribution; merchandising and store support; as well as Lowe’s Canadian operations. He began his Lowe’s career in the stores in 1969 and has served in virtually every leadership position within store operations, merchandising and store environment during his career, including senior executive vice president of operations, merchandising and marketing. Stone was appointed to the board of directors of Dick’s Sporting Goods in May 2007. He also serves on the boards of Wilkes Community College, the Wilkes Chamber of Commerce, and the board of visitors for Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Stone is a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s Program for Management Development.

Mike Menser was named senior vice president of product development in December 2006. In his new role, he also serves as president of Lowe's global sourcing subsidiary, LG Sourcing, Inc. Prior to this appointment, Menser served as senior vice president and general merchandising manager of home décor. Menser, who joined Lowe's in 1991, has more than 30 years experience in the home improvement industry, and has a broad range of experience in store operations, merchandising and logistics. He holds a bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky University.

Marshall Croom was named senior vice president and chief risk officer in January 2009 and is responsible for providing oversight and direction for the management of all material risks across the company, including enterprise risk management, workers compensation, loss prevention, safety, internal audit, quality assurance and global trade services. Croom most recently served as SVP of merchandising and store support. His prior Lowe's experience also includes SVP of finance, treasurer and assistant treasurer. Croom joined the company in 1997 following an 11-year career with Ernst & Young. He received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Appalachian State University.

Matthew Hollifield was promoted to senior vice president and chief accounting officer in November 2005, after serving as vice president of corporate accounts payables since joining Lowe's in 2002. Hollifield's responsibilities include oversight of all corporate accounting, product accounting, inventory control, trade payable, expense payable and general accounting functions. He has more than 17 years of experience in corporate finance and accounting and previously served as chief financial officer of Century Furniture Industries. Hollifield has a bachelor's degree from Appalachian State University, an M.B.A. from Duke University and is a certified public accountant.

As chief information officer, Steve Stone provides the vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives in alignment with Lowe's business strategy. He has overall responsibility for the planning, delivery, and maintenance of cost-effective technology solutions needed to support Lowe's various business groups. Stone joined Lowe's in 1992 and served most recently as vice president of information technology strategy. Prior to Lowe's, Stone was a senior manager in information technology consulting with Ernst & Young. He is a graduate of Appalachian State University, with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

Nick Canter was named executive vice president of merchandising in December 2006. His responsibilities include merchandising, global sourcing and store environment. He joined Lowe's in 1974 and most recently served as executive vice president of store operations. Canter has also served as senior vice president of store operations for Lowe's North Central Division, and led Lowe's entry into the Northeast, launching new stores in the Boston and New York metropolitan areas. He has also served as regional vice president of the Southeast region. In addition to store operations, Canter has significant merchandising experience, having served the company as senior vice president and general merchandising manager responsible for building products and also as vice president of merchandising for millwork.

Greg Bridgeford was promoted to executive vice president of business development in 2004 after serving as senior vice president of business development since 1999. He is responsible for all aspects of the company's development of business opportunities, including corporate research, strategic planning, new business development, business process improvement, and real estate, engineering and construction. Bridgeford joined Lowe's in 1982 as executive assistant to the chairman, and has served in a variety of increasingly responsible positions, including vice president of corporate development, senior vice president of merchandising/general merchandising manager, and senior vice president of marketing. Bridgeford holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Virginia and earned an M.B.A. from Wake Forest University.

Mike Mabry was promoted to executive vice president of logistics and distribution in September 2004, after serving as senior vice president of distribution. Mabry joined the company in December 2003 after a 12-year career with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. He is responsible for overseeing Lowe's state-of-the-art logistics and distribution network that expedites the replenishment of merchandise and supplies to all Lowe's stores. During his tenure at Wal-Mart, Mabry served most recently as vice president of global services. Mabry holds an M.B.A. from Oklahoma City University and a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of North Alabama.

Mike Brown was promoted to executive vice president of store operations in December 2006. He is responsible for all Lowe's stores and Lowe's specialty sales businesses including installed, special order, and commercial sales. Brown began his career with Lowe's in 1984 and served most recently as senior vice president (SVP) of store operations for Lowe's South Central Division. He has previously led store operations as SVP of the West Division, and has served as vice president of specialty sales for commercial, installed and special-order sales; regional vice president of the Northeast Division; merchandising vice president of lawn and garden, bag goods/chemicals and outdoor power equipment; manager and director of re-merchandising, retrofits and specialty sales; and as a store manager.

Bob Hull has served as Lowe’s chief financial officer since March 2003. He joined Lowe’s in 1999 as vice president of financial planning and analysis. Hull is responsible for accounting, tax, treasury, investor relations, procurement and financial planning and analysis. He has more than 20 years of retail and financial management experience. Hull is a certified public accountant and earned bachelor’s degrees in accounting and business administration from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. Hull serves on the Board of Trustees of the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. He is also the President of the University of North Carolina-Charlotte Facilities Development Corporation.

Clint Davis was named senior vice president and general merchandising manager of hardlines in December 2006 and is responsible for tools, hardware, rough plumbing and rough electrical. Davis previously served as MVP of Lowe's appliance and flooring categories. Davis joined Lowe's in 2001 and has more than 21 years of merchandising, sales and retail experience, including serving as national sales manager for Armstrong World Industries. He earned a bachelor's degree in business from Francis Marion University.

Eric Sowder was promoted to senior vice president of logistics in May 2002, after serving as vice president of logistics since 1998. He is responsible for establishment, installation and implementation of Lowe's current logistics organizational structure and talent management. Sowder joined Lowe's in 1984 as a merchandising buyer for the establishment of the lawn and garden department. In his career with Lowe's, he has served as merchandising vice president for lawn and garden and merchandising vice president for rough and fashion plumbing. He holds a bachelor's degree in business management from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Gary Wyatt has served as senior vice president of real estate, engineering and construction since 2006, after serving as vice president of research since 1999. Wyatt oversees all site acquisition, development, engineering, construction and property management for all Lowe's stores in North America. Wyatt's career at Lowe's began in 1984, and he has held a number of increasingly responsible positions in research, relationship and database marketing and real estate research. Wyatt has a bachelor's degree from Appalachian State University.

Scott Plemmons was named senior vice president of specialty sales in February 2006 and is responsible for Lowe's commercial business, special order and e-commerce sales, installed sales and project and event sales. Plemmons had served as merchandising vice president in a number of product categories since 1998. He began his Lowe's career in store management in 1980 and has served in a number of increasingly responsible positions in both store operations and merchandising.

Brian Peace was promoted to senior vice president of corporate affairs in February 2006, having previously served as vice president of corporate communications since 1999. His responsibilities include oversight of the company's public relations, internal communications, government relations, environmental affairs, corporate facilities, travel, aviation and corporate security departments. Peace joined Lowe's in 1997 after nearly a decade in various communications and public affairs roles. Peace earned a bachelor's degree from Appalachian State University.

Vaughn Hayes was named senior vice president of store planning and environment in February 2006 and is responsible for store planning and environment, vendor service management, display management, new store set-up and remerchandising. Hayes had served as vice president of store planning and development since 1992. He began his Lowe's career in merchandising in 1971 and has served in a number of increasingly responsible positions in inventory management, merchandising and store planning. Hayes has a bachelor's degree from Appalachian State University and an M.B.A. from Wake Forest University.

As senior vice president of marketing and advertising, Bob Gfeller is responsible for the company's marketing and advertising initiatives, including branded advertising across all media, customer relationship marketing, sports, affinity club and credit marketing. Gfeller, who joined Lowe's in 1999, has more than 25 years of branding and retail marketing experience, having managed some of the nation's leading brand names and products at The Coca-Cola Company, Nabisco, Inc., and Champion, Inc. Gfeller holds an M.B.A. in marketing from New York University and an undergraduate degree in economics from Franklin and Marshall College.

Scott Butterfield was promoted to senior vice president of research and strategic planning in May 2006, after serving as vice president of strategic planning since 1999. He is responsible for aligning Lowe's consumer research to its business strategy, developing programs and services to meet customers' needs and the company's growth. Butterfield has more than 20 years of strategic planning, finance and management experience, having previously served in positions at companies including Pizza Hut, Inc., Kraft General Foods and The Quaker Oats Company. He received a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Iowa and a master's degree in marketing and finance from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Steve Szilagyi was named senior vice president of distribution in February 2006. He is responsible for the operations of 14 regional distribution centers and 15 flat-bed distribution centers serving all Lowe's stores. Szilagyi began his career at Lowe's in 2001 as regional director of distribution and was named vice president of distribution in 2002. He has over 20 years of experience in retail and consumer products distribution. Szilagyi earned a bachelor's degree in materials and logistics management from Michigan State University.

Bill Edwards was named senior vice president of operations for the company's Southeast Division in 2008 after serving as SVP for the North Central Division since 2005. Edwards joined Lowe's in 1993 and has also served as regional vice president of Lowe's mid-Atlantic region based in Richmond, Virginia. He has more than 20 years of retail experience, and during his 12 years with Lowe's, has also served as store manager and district manager.

John Kasberger was named senior vice president and general merchandising manager of kitchen and bath in December 2006. He previously served as senior vice president and general merchandising manager for Lowe's hardlines products group. Kasberger came to Lowe's in 1991 after a long career in the retail industry that includes leadership roles at Best Products in Richmond, Va. and Save-Rite in Rochester, N.Y. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas.

Patti Price was named senior vice president and general merchandising manager of outdoor living in December 2006. In her new role, Price is responsible for nursery, lawn and landscape, seasonal living and outdoor power equipment. Price joined Lowe's in 2000 and previously served as MVP of seasonal living, and cabinets and countertops. She has over 20 years of management experience and nearly 15 years of retail experience in both merchandising and store operations. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland.

Theresa Anderson was named senior vice president and general merchandising manager for home décor in December 2006 after serving as SVP and general merchandising manager of home and outdoor living since 2003. Anderson's responsibilities include paint, walls and windows, flooring, home organization and lighting products. She has also served the company as president of Lowe's Global Sourcing and senior vice president of merchandising sales and service. Anderson joined Lowe's in 1986 and has served in a number of increasingly responsible positions, including senior vice president of store operations and staffing; merchandising vice president of outdoor hardlines; and various positions in corporate training, management development and advertising. Anderson has a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina-Asheville.

Maureen Ausura joined Lowe's in February 2005 as senior vice president of human resources, responsible for enhancing the company's efforts to attract, motivate, develop and retain outstanding employees as Lowe's continues its rapid growth. Ausura has more than 25 years human resources experience, most recently as corporate vice president of human resources with international agribusiness company Archer Daniels Midland. She has also held senior-level human resources positions with Giant Eagle Supermarkets and Campbell Soup Company. Ausura has a bachelor's degree and an M.B.A. from Rutgers University.

Robert Wagner was named senior vice president of operations for the South Central Division in June 2008, after serving the same role for the West Division since 2004. Wagner began his Lowe's career in 1977 as an office credit manager in a store and has worked as a store manager and district manager and regional vice president for stores in the Pacific Northwest region, helping to lead the company's expansion to the West Coast in 2000. Wagner earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and economics from Catawba College.

Marshall Larsen is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Goodrich Corporation. He was named to his current position in October 2003. Marshall joined the company in 1977 as an Operations Analyst and Financial Manager. In 1981, he became Director of Planning and Analysis and subsequently Director of Product Marketing. In 1986, he became Assistant to the President and later served as General Manager of several divisions of the company's aerospace business. In 1994, he was elected a Vice President of the company and was named a Group Vice President of Goodrich Aerospace. In 1995 he was appointed Executive Vice President of the company and President and Chief Operating Officer of Goodrich Aerospace. In February 2002 Marshall was named President and Chief Operating Officer of Goodrich Corporation. He was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer in April 2003. Marshall received a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the United States Military Academy, West Point, New York in 1970. He received a Master of Science degree from the Krannert Graduate School of Industrial Management at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana in 1977. Marshall is a member of the Board of Governors and Executive Committee of the U.S. Aerospace Industries Association, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Charlotte Regional Partnership. He also serves as a Director of Lowe’s Companies, Inc., and Becton, Dickinson and Company.

President and Chief Executive Officer of Pepsi-Cola North America, the refreshment beverage unit of PepsiCo in the United States and Canada until November 2007, where she served as President since May 2002 and Chief Executive Officer since March 2005. In addition, Ms. Hudson served as Chief Executive Officer of the PepsiCo Foodservice Division from March 2005 to November 2007. She also serves on the board of directors of Allergan, Inc.

Member of Compensation Committee and Governance Committee. Distinguished Professor of Marketing, M.B. Zale Chair in Retailing and Marketing Leadership, and Professor of Humanities in Medicine, Texas A&M University, since 1982. He also serves on the boards of directors of Darden Restaurants, Inc. and Genesco Inc.

Lead Director, Chairman of Governance Committee and member of Audit Committee and Executive Committee. Chairman of General Parts International, Inc., Raleigh, North Carolina, a distributor of automotive replacement parts. Until August 2008, he also served as Chief Executive Officer of General Parts International for a period of more than five years. He also serves on the boards of directors of Bank of America Corporation (Lead Director), Golden Corral and Highwoods Properties, Inc., where he serves as Chairman of the board.

Peter C. Browning is non-executive chairman of Nucor Corporation, a steel products manufacturing company in Charlotte. Previously he was dean of the McColl Graduate School of Business, Queens University of Charlotte.

Member of Audit Committee and Governance Committee. Founder and Chairman of the RLJ Companies, which owns or holds interests in companies operating in professional sports (including the NBA Charlotte Bobcats), hospitality/restaurant, real estate, financial services, gaming and recording industries. Prior to forming the RLJ Companies, he was founder and chairman of Black Entertainment Television (“BET”), which was acquired in 2000 by Viacom Inc., a media-entertainment holding company. Mr. Johnson continued to serve as Chief Executive Officer of BET until 2005. He also serves on the boards of directors of KB Home and Strayer Education, Inc.
