Board of Directors
As chairman and chief executive officer, René Lerer is responsible for Magellan's strategic direction and the operations of the company.
Prior to assuming his current role, he served as president and chief operating officer, with responsibility for Magellan's three lines of business - behavioral health, radiology and specialty pharmaceuticals; all operations, including its care management centers; and many of the company's enterprise-wide functions, including clinical, information technology, product development, and marketing and communications.
René has more than 20 years of health care experience. Prior to joining Magellan in 2002, he was a co-founder and president of Internet HealthCare Group, a health care technology venture fund. Earlier in his career he served as chief operating officer of Prudential Healthcare nationally and as president of The Travelers Health Network. He also served as senior vice president of operations, pharmacy and disease management with Value Health, Inc., a New York Stock Exchange-listed specialty managed care organization.
René holds a bachelor's degree in Psychobiology from Oberlin College and a doctor of medicine degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is board-certified in internal medicine.

As chief clinical officer, Tony Kotin is responsible for the overall clinical department for the company, focusing on both our core products as well as our expanded new products. Tony and his team develop and oversee the implementation of medical management policies and procedures and evaluate the current health care industry trends to assess future market needs and assist Magellan in strengthening its position as market leader. Prior to joining the company, Tony served as the national strategy leader for the health and group practice at Mercer Human Resource Consulting. Additionally, Tony was responsible for the group's national marketing strategy, major client sales and product development. He also supported the specialty practitioner groups and managed the practice Intranet site and survey units. Prior to joining Mercer, Tony served as national chief medical officer for Prudential Healthcare, Inc. His background also includes serving as the national practice leader for clinical operations and analysis in the integrated health care consulting practice of Towers Perrin. A board certified internist, Tony holds a medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago and a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois.

As chief financial officer, Jon Rubin is responsible for all of Magellan's financial matters, including strategy, reporting and support of operations.
Jon has more than 20 years of corporate and business line experience in managed health care. His background includes leadership of broad financial functions, actuarial services, pricing and underwriting, and medical economics. He also has played significant roles in strategy development and mergers and acquisitions, and supported investor relations activities through interactions with the financial community.
Prior to joining Magellan, Jon held a variety of roles at CIGNA Corporation, including serving as chief financial officer for its largest operating division, CIGNA Healthcare, which comprises its core medical and specialty health businesses.
Jon graduated magna cum laude from the University of Rochester with bachelor's degrees in economics and mathematics. He is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the board of directors for the American School for the Deaf.
As senior vice president for employer solutions, Rick Lee oversees the unit that serves more than 1,300 employers with behaviorally focused offerings, including EAP, work/life and managed care products. He has led the development of Health Coaching, a health and wellness solution aimed at the needs of today's public or private sector employer. Rick is well-known for his expertise in the specialty health care arena. Early in his career, he worked on Capitol Hill, addressing health policy issues with the National Business Group on Health and the National Health Policy Forum and later served in senior roles with Preferred Health Care and Value Health/Value Behavioral Health. Rick segued from behavioral health to cancer, founding Accountable Oncology Associates in 1995. He went on to spend more than 10 years leading AOA and its acquirer Quality Oncology in building the premier cancer disease management firm in the country. Since 2000, Rick has served as a board member of Oncology Affiliates, LifeMetrix, PayerPath, GTess, and Neighborhood Diabetes, while providing venture capital and private equity advisory services to several prominent health care capital firms. Rick has been published more than 35 times on health care operations and policy topics during his career. He is a graduate of Harvard College and the University of Washington School of Public Health.

Suzanne Kunis is responsible for overall leadership and strategy, customer relations and account management, and financial performance for Magellan's commercial behavioral health business, which serves health plan and employer customers. Suzanne has been with Magellan for more than 15 years serving in various behavioral health leadership roles including operational oversight, network development, contracting and provider relations, as well as account management. Prior to joining Magellan, Suzanne was associated with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Jersey for 12 years, serving in various management roles. As vice president of its Consumer Market Division where she was responsible for the management of overall operations including enrollment and billing, claims, marketing and customer service functions as well as strategic planning for the direct pay market. She also served as project officer to implement a new claims processing system. In an earlier role, Suzanne managed the centralization and operation of training and systems support functions and established a quality assurance department. Suzanne has a background as a registered nurse and maintains an active nursing license with New Jersey.
Jane Ollendorff's career as a registered nurse and clinical social worker has spanned twenty-five years in the behavioral health care field. She has held positions in clinical practice, employee assistance programs, clinical operations management, human resources management, organizational development, quality improvement, policy and standards development, program implementation, provider network management. Jane is currently employed as vice president of provider network services for Magellan Health Services. In 1994 she was recognized as the International Employee Assistance Program Associations "Member of the Year" for her contributions and leadership in the development of national standards and professional ethics review procedures. Since 1983, she has actively participated in the Council of International Fellowships (CIF). She served as chair of the nominating committee for CIF International as well as editor of the CIFUSA newsletter for a number of years.

Michael Diament formerly served as Portfolio Manager and Director of Bankruptcies and Restructurings from January 2003 to February 2006 for Renegade Swish, LLC which, through various contractual agreements, provides personnel services to Amalgamated Gadget, LP, the investment manager for R2 Investments, LDC. From January 2001 to December 2002, Mr. Diament served as Portfolio Manager for Acme Widget, LP, which provided personnel services to Amalgamated Gadget, LP through various contractual arrangements. From February 2000 until January 2001, Mr. Diament was a Senior Research Analyst for Sandell Asset Management, an investment management firm, and served as Vice President of Havens Advisors, an investment management firm, from July 1998 to January 2000.
Mr. LeBlanc is a Managing Director of Onex Investment Corp., an affiliate of Onex Corporation, a diversified industrial corporation, and has been a Managing Director since 1999. Prior to joining Onex in 1999, he was with Berkshire Hathaway for seven years. From 1988 to 1992, Mr. Le Blanc held numerous positions with GE Capital, with responsibility for corporate finance and corporate strategy. Mr. Le Blanc serves as a Director of Magellan Health Services, Inc., Res-Care, Inc., Center for Diagnostic Imaging, Inc. and First Berkshire Hathaway Life. Mr. Le Blanc became a director of Emergency Medical Services Corporation in December 2004.

Jordan currently is manager for consumer recovery services for Magellan Health Services of Tennessee and chairs the Magellan advisory comm ittee composed of consumers, family members and service agencies that helps guide development of behavioral health services in the state. He is also a member of the Tennessee Mental Health Planning Council. He previously served as operations officer for NAMI Tennessee and as director of its African American Outreach Project. In 2005, he received the national organization's award for multicultural outreach. Jordan also has worked for Foundation Associates, the University of Tennessee , and General Telephone & Electronics (GTE). He is a veteran Navy pilot and recipient of Navy comm endation and achievement medals and the Viet Nam campaign ribbon. He received his M.B.A from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey , as well as an M.S. from the University of Arkansas and B.S. from Tennessee State University .

Eran Broshy is executive chairman of the board of inVentiv Health, Inc., a Nasdaq-traded provider of commercialization services for the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. Mr. Broshy has more than 20 years of management and consulting experience in the health care industry. Prior to joining inVentiv Health, he led the health care practice of The Boston Consulting Group in the Americas, advising pharmaceutical manufacturers, managed care organizations and academic medical centers on a range of strategic, organizational and operational issues. He holds an M.B.A. from Harvard University, a Master’s degree from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Mr. Ressner, 58, is a retired Nortel Networks executive who between 1981 and 2003 served in a number of senior financial and operational management positions. Mr. Ressner was an Adjunct Professor of Applied Financial Management at North Carolina State University between 2002 and 2004. He is currently an advisor within the College of Management at North Carolina State University. Mr. Ressner currently serves as a member of the board of directors for: Arsenal Digital Solutions, Entrust, Exide Technologies, Magellan Health Services, and Riverstone Networks. He chairs the Audit Committees of Arsenal, Exide, Magellan and Riverstone.

Nancy L. Johnson formerly served in the U.S. House of Representatives as a 12-term Congresswoman from the 5th District of Connecticut. She is currently a fellow at the Institute of Politics at Harvard University and since May 2007 has served as a senior public policy analyst with the federal public policy group of the law firm of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC. Ms. Johnson was first elected to the House in 1982 and served on the Committee on Ways and Means for nine terms, where she chaired at various times the Oversight, Human Resources and Health Subcommittees. Prior to her election to the House of Representatives, she served in the Connecticut Senate from 1977 to 1983. She currently serves as a member of the board of directors of National Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy and the Information Technology Innovation Foundation. She also currently serves on the United States Naval Academy Board of Visitors, on the board of trustees of John Marshal Law School and on the health policy fellowship advisory board of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
William D. Forrest is a managing partner and equity owner of Tower Three Partners, LLC, a private equity fund that invests in distressed companies requiring operational and/or financial restructuring. He also serves as the non-executive chairman of Cosi, Inc., a national restaurant chain which is listed on NASDAQ. He served as the executive chairman of Cosi from April 2003 until December 2006. Prior to joining Cosi, Mr. Forrest was a managing director with the restructuring group at the international investment bank, Gleacher Partners. Prior to his position at Gleacher Partners, he was a managing director of Catterton-Forrest LLC, where he was responsible for the acquisition and management of portfolio companies in the troubled business space. Mr. Forrest is a Certified Turnaround Professional. He began his professional career in the consulting division of Laventhol & Horvath. Throughout his career, he has served in executive management, investment banking and investor roles with organizations in a variety of industries including healthcare, manufacturing and food service.
