The company's Classmates Media services include online social networking (www.Classmates.com) and online loyalty marketing (www.MyPoints.com) in North America. Classmates Media also operates online social networking Web sites in a number of European countries. The company's Communications services include value-priced Internet access and email provided by NetZero and Juno. Headquartered in Woodland Hills, CA, United Online operates through a global network of locations in the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, and India.

JEREMY HELFAND is Executive Vice President and Chief Sales Officer. He is responsible for the United Online Media Group, which sells advertising and partnerships via Classmates, NetZero, Juno and MySite. His oversight includes direct and agency sales, wholesale sales, advertising operations and inventory management and planning functions. Previously, he served as senior vice president and general manager of Advertising.com, a division of American Online, Inc. that provides interactive-marketing services. During his tenure at Advertising.com, Helfand served on the executive committee charged with the strategic vision that eventually led to the company's $497-million acquisition by AOL/Time Warner. In five years at Advertising.com, Helfand implemented revenue strategies, incentive and training programs that contributed to more than a six-fold increase in revenue, along with the doubling in the size of the company's sales force. Prior to Advertising.com, Helfand was a manager at Arthur Anderson, LLP where he oversaw a suite of high-profile clients including Blue Cross Blue Shield and London Fog. A certified public accountant, Helfand received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Loyola College and a M.B.A pending from Johns Hopkins University.

ROBERT J. TARAGAN is President of United Online's Communications Segment. Mr. Taragan joined NetZero in 2000 and served in a variety of executive leadership roles prior to being promoted to President of United Online's Communications segment in 2008. Earlier in his career, he spent 21 years at Nielsen Media Research, where he served in key management roles including Executive Vice President of Marketing and General Manager of Local Services. Highlights of Mr. Taragan's tenure at the company include maintaining operating responsibility for producing Nielsen TV ratings in all U.S. television markets, establishing the Nielsen Sports Marketing Service business, managing Nielsen's local market service during its victorious competitive battle with Arbitron, and implementing the rollout of the People Meter as a new data collection tool. He has been a featured speaker at many industry events, including the Broadcast & Cable Financial Management Executives annual conference, the Radio & Television Research Council, the Television Bureau of Advertising annual conference, the Advertising Research Foundation's Children's Workshop and the Electronic Media Workshop. In addition, Mr. Taragan has been a guest lecturer at C.W. Post College, Baruch College and UCLA. He earned a B.A. in Economics from Colgate University.

DR. CAROL A. SCOTT, PH.D., is a professor of marketing and faculty director of the Executive Program at The John E. Anderson Graduate School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Scott has been on the faculty at UCLA since 1977, and served the school in a variety of administrative positions from 1986 through 1994, including chairman of the faculty and associate dean for academic affairs. She was also a visiting associate professor at the Harvard Business School in 1985, and was on the faculty at Ohio State University for three years prior to joining UCLA in 1977. HOWARD G. PHANSTIEL has served as one of our directors since October 2008. Mr. Phanstiel has more than 30 years of senior-level operating experience, including serving as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Fortune 200 companies. During a recent operating role at PacifiCare Health Systems, Inc., he advanced from Chief Financial Officer to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and engineered a financial turnaround that ultimately led to the successful sale of PacifiCare to UnitedHealth Group Incorporated. Mr. Phanstiel later served as an Executive Vice President at UnitedHealth Group following the acquisition. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Syracuse University and a Master in Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Public Affairs and Citizenship at Syracuse University.
