W. R. Berkley Corp.

William Berkley is and has been chairman of the board and chief executive officer of W. R. Berkley Corporation since its formation in 1967 and also serves as president and chief operating officer of that company. William Berkley also serves as chairman of the board or director of a number of public and private companies as well as educational and charitable institutions. These include Associated Community Bancorp. Inc. and its subsidiary, Connecticut Community Bank, N.A.; FFS Holdings, Inc.: The First Marblehead Corporation; Interlaken Capital, Inc.: Strategic Distribution, Inc; Georgetown University; New York University, where he is vice-chairman of the board of trustees and chairman of the board of overseers of the Stern School; and the W. R. Berkley Corporation Charitable Foundation. He joined the board of Kiln plc in September 2002.

James G. Shiel has been Senior Vice President Investments of the Company since January 1997. Prior thereto, he was Vice President Investments of the Company from January 1992. Since February 1994, Mr. Shiel has been President of Berkley Dean & Company, Inc., a subsidiary of the Company, which he joined in 1987.

Mary Farrell, who has more than 35 years of experience as an investment analyst and strategist, is a consultant in the financial services industry. She was formerly with UBS where she served as a managing director, chief investment strategist for UBS Wealth Management USA and co-head of the UBS Wealth Management investment strategy and research group. A frequent lecturer, she was a regular panelist on Wall Street Week with Louis Rukeyser, and was elected to its Hall of Fame in 1995. Farrell is on the boards of the W.R. Berkley Corporation, New York University Stern School of Business and the Gilman Foundation. She received her undergraduate degree from Manhattanville College and her M.B.A. from New York University?s Stern Business School.
