ROBERT A. PAUL (age 71, Director since 1970). Mr. Paul has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since
March 2004. Prior to March 2004, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation for more
than five years. He is also the President and a director of The Louis Berkman Investment Company.
John W. Brown is Chairman of the Board of InHealth. He also currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Stryker Corporation, a position he has held since 1980. Mr. Brown started his distinguished career as an engineer for the Ormet Corporation, an aluminum manufacturer, and then worked for Thiokol Chemical Corporation where he developed rocket propellants. In 1972, Mr. Brown became President of Edward Weck & Company, a subsidiary of Squibb Corporation, a position he held until 1977 when he became President and Chief Executive Officer of Stryker Corporation after the death of Lee Stryker, son of company founder Dr. Homer Stryker. Under Mr. Brown's leadership, Stryker went public in 1977 and steadfastly expanded its product lines. The company grew from $23 million in revenue in 1977 to over $4.9 billion by 2005, and the number of employees increased from 325 to 15,000 during the same period. Mr. Brown is a Director of National City Corporation, Cleveland, Ohio. He is also a Director of the American Business Conference, a coalition of Chief Executive Officers of mid-size, high growth companies. Mr. Brown serves as a governor-appointee on the Michigan Economic Development Committee, is a Board member of Southwest Michigan First, Greater Kalamazoo United Way and the Southwest Michigan Healthcare Coalition.

As Humana's President and CEO, Mike McCallister has led the Fortune 200 company to a leadership position within the health-benefits industry. During Mike's tenure, Humana, based in Louisville, Ky., has gained a reputation as the nation's premier health-benefits innovator, leveraging new products, processes and technology to solve the employer's cost dilemma through a consumer-centric value proposition. Under Mike's direction, Humana is defining a new world of health benefits featuring consumer-choice health plans that empower employees to choose and use their health benefits with confidence. Mike has an extensive history with Humana, having joined the company in 1974. Prior to being named president and CEO in February 2000, Mike served as a member of Humana's four-person Office of the Chairman, where he worked closely with Chairman and interim Chief Executive Officer David A. Jones on the company's turnaround plan. He also held the position of senior vice president for the Health Plan Division and was responsible for Humana's large group commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, workers' compensation and TRICARE businesses. He was promoted to president Division I in 1996, with senior management responsibility for Humana's Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico operations. From 1997 until his appointment to the Office of the Chairman in August 1999, Mike had senior management responsibility for health plan operations company-wide. He joined Humana in 1974 as a finance specialist and was elected vice president in 1989 with responsibility for the integrated operations of Humana's health plans and hospitals in Arizona. From 1992 to 1996 he served in the same capacity in Texas, becoming responsible for Humana's health plan operations exclusively after the company spun off its hospitals in 1993. Throughout Mike's career, he has been a strong advocate for the communities where he has lived and their civic organizations. Currently, Mike serves on the boards of the Greater Louisville Health Enterprises Network and the Louisville Fund for the Arts. Mike's also on the board of Washington's Business Roundtable, serves on the College of Administration and Business Advisory Board of Louisiana Tech University, and is a board member of the American Association of Health Plans. Mike holds an MBA degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu, Calif., and a bachelor's degree from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, La.

He has been Co-Chief Executive Officer since January 2005, and for more than five years, Mr. Lindner has served as Co-President of the Company. For more than ten years, Mr. Lindner has been President of our Great American Financial Resources, Inc. subsidiary, and has been principally responsible for the Company's annuity and supplemental health insurance operations. He is also President of American Money Management Corporation, a subsidiary that provides investment services for the Company and certain of its affiliated companies.
Peter E. Raskind is chairman, president and chief executive officer of National City Corporation. Mr. Raskind joined National City in September 2000 as the head of Consumer Finance, where he was responsible for National City’s consumer lending businesses. His responsibilities later expanded to include Retail Banking and the company’s mortgage businesses. He was elected vice chairman in 2004. Upon appointment as president in December 2006, Mr. Raskind also assumed responsibility for most of National City’s corporate banking operations and wealth management operations, building on the extensive experience in corporate banking, retail banking, operations, corporate trust, treasury management services and strategic planning gained during his 17-year career with U.S. Bancorp. Mr. Raskind was elected chief executive officer in July 2007, succeeding David A. Daberko. Mr. Raskind began his career in 1979 with Harris Bank in Chicago, IL. A native of Medford, MA, Mr. Raskind received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Dartmouth College in 1978 and a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in finance from Dartmouth's Amos Tuck School of Business Administration in 1979.
Gregory M. Jelinek is head of the Small Business Banking division of Consumer and Small Business Financial Services at National City and a senior vice president of the corporation. Mr. Jelinek joined National City in 1986 as a trainee in the Retail Lending Training Program. Since that time, he has held increasingly responsible positions in the Middle Market, Investment Real Estate, Special Credits and Retail divisions. Prior to being appointed to his current position in 2004, Mr. Jelinek served as senior vice president and division manager of Northcoast Middle Market Corporate Banking and most recently held the position of Executive Vice President and manager of Dealer Finance in the Consumer and Small Business Financial Services group. Mr. Jelinek earned a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Dayton in 1985 and an MBA with a concentration in accounting from Cleveland State University in 1992.

In this role, Mr. Dunham is responsible for management of the corporation's fixed income investment portfolio, funding activity for the banking subsidiaries, derivative trading and risk management and foreign exchange trading and sales. Mr. Dunham began his career with National City Bank of Cleveland in 1987 as an assistant vice president and future and options trader. He was later appointed to the position of vice president and domestic funding manager in 1989. Richard J. DeKaser is senior vice president and chief economist at National City, where he provides analysis to senior management, business leaders, and clients of the bank. His responsibilities include economic forecasting and financial market analysis. Mr. DeKaser is responsible for the corporation's economic and interest rate forecasts and related research. He also authors the Financial Market Outlook, a monthly commentary on timely economic issues, and The Region, a survey-based assessment of business confidence throughout the Midwest . Each is available via mail or on the National City Economics Web site (www.nationalcity.com/economics). Additionally, Mr. DeKaser is responsible for the Corporation’s widely-followed analysis of metro area housing valuations, which is updated quarterly and may be found at www.nationalcity.com/housevaluation. Though developed at National City, this research has been conducted jointly with Global Insight, the world’s preeminent provider of economic and financial data and forecasts, since 2005. Prior to joining National City , Mr. DeKaser was senior financial economist at Bank of Boston, now Bank of America, where he handled capital market and risk management research. Previous to that, he was senior associate at Data Resources Inc., a division of Standard and Poors Corporation, where he managed contract research and forecasting. He joined DRI after serving two years as staff economist at the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Economic Analysis. Mr. DeKaser is a graduate of New York University, where he received undergraduate and advanced degrees in economics. He is a member of the Governor's (Hon. Ted Strickland) Council of Economic Advisors, contributes to the Blue Chip Economic Indicators and Financial Forecasts surveys and is a director of the National Association of Business Economics . His forecast accuracy has been recognized by USA Today (which subcontracts the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta to perform its scientific assessment), ranking first in 2006, fourth in 2004 and third in 2003. He was formerly chairman of the American Bankers Association's Economic Advisory Committee, a member of the Business Research Advisory Council (an advisory board to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics), chairman of the Financial Roundtable of the National Association for Business Economics, and past president of the New England Economic Project. He is often quoted in leading financial publications, including the Wall Street Journal and Business Week, appears frequently on Bloomberg, CNBC and Fox News television broadcasts, and is a widely sought-after public speaker

Martha Gaskin is a Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Management for National City Business Credit and has over 25 years experience in the Asset Based Lending Industry. Prior to joining National City, she was Senior Vice President, Head of Operations, and ABL Project Management Team for Chase Business Credit. Prior to the JP Morgan Chase-Bank One merger Martha was COO, Managing Director, Head of the Bank One ABL National Portfolio and Head of National Field Examination. Martha began her career working for Walter Heller & Company in various capacities within the ABL line of business. Martha received a BS in Accounting from DePaul Universiry and is a Certified Public Accountant. She is a member of the Commercial Finance and Turnaround Management Associations.
Karen Pilarz is Director and Field Examination Manager for National City Business Credit with responsibility for the entire field examination process. Prior to joining National City in June 2004, Karen was a manager in Lender Services with Weiser LLP. Prior to that, she worked at PNC Business Credit and Summit Bank in field examination and portfolio management functions. She has over 12 years of asset based lending experience. Karen has been involved with the Commercial Finance Association's education program as a facilitator for the Collateral Control Workshop since 1998. Karen received a B.S. in Business Administration from Bryant University and an M.B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University .

Gregory A. Steve is a Managing Director and Regional Manager for National City Business Credit, responsible for managing the Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, Missouri and New York markets. Prior to joining National City in 2004, Greg was a Senior Vice President with PNC Business Credit in the Pittsburgh office, responsible for new business development. Greg also served as a corporate lender and worked in corporate credit policy during his tenure at PNC. He has more than 16 years experience in corporate lending. Greg began his career at Deloitte & Touche in Pittsburgh, working in the audit and tax departments. He is a Certified Public Accountant. Greg currently serves as President for the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG). He is a director of the Pittsburgh Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and past president of the Commercial Finance Association (CFA). Greg also sits on the Indiana University of Pennsylvania's Alumni Board of Directors and Business School Advisory Council. Greg received his BS in Finance and Accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh.
