Lewis M. Kling, age 64, has served as President, Chief Executive Officer and as a director since 2005. He served as Chief Operating Officer from 2004 to 2005. Before joining the Company, he served as Group President and Corporate Vice President of SPX Corporation, a Fortune 500 company that provides flow technology products, terminal equipment and other industrial products and services worldwide, from 1999 to 2004 and as a member of the Board of Directors of Inrange Technologies Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of switching and networking products for data and telecommunications networks, from 2000 to 2003. Mr. Kling also served as President of Dielectric Communications, a division of General Signal Corporation, which was purchased by SPX Corporation, from 1997 to 1999. He is also a director of Eastman Chemical Company, a manufacturer of chemicals, fibers and plastics. Mr. Kling s employment agreement with the Company is described in this proxy statement under Executive Compensation Compensation Discussion and Analysis Employment Agreements.

Thomas L. Pajonas, age 52, has served as Senior Vice President since December 2006 and President of Flow Control Division since 2004. He served as Vice President from 2004 to December 2006. He was previously employed as Managing Director of Alstom Transport from 2003 to 2004 and Senior Vice President from 1999 to 2003 of the Worldwide Power Boiler Business of Alstom, Inc. From 1996 to 1999 he served in various capacities as Senior Vice President and General Manager International Operations and subsequently Senior Vice President and General Manager Standard Boilers Worldwide of Asea Brown Boveri.

Andrew J. Beall, age 51, has served as Senior Vice President since December 2006 and President of Flow Solutions Division since 2003. He served as Vice President from 2003 to December 2006. From 1994 to 2003, Mr. Beall served in a number of key domestic and international management positions with the Company including as Vice President of Flowserve, Pump Division, Flow Solutions Division and Flow Control Division in Latin America from 1999 to 2003.

Kyle B. Ahlfinger, age 49, has served as Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer since May 2007. He served as Vice President of Marketing for the Flow Control Division from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, he served with Rockwell Automation as the Director of Marketing from 2003 to 2005, as Director of Business Development 2002 to 2003 and an international assignment as Director of Market and Channel Development Europe/Middle East/Africa Region from 2000 to 2002.

Lars E. Rosene, age 41, has served as Chief Sustainability Officer and Vice President Public Affairs since February 2009. He served as Vice President Global Communications and Public Affairs for the corporation from May 2007 to February 2009. Prior to that, he served as Director of Public Affairs for Flowserve from 2005 to 2007. Before joining Flowserve, Rosene served as Vice President and Director of Public Affairs and Communications for Citigroup from 2002 to 2005.

Mark D. Dailey, age 49, has served as Senior Vice President, Human Resources since November 2006 and Chief Compliance Officer since May 2005. He served as Vice President, Supply Chain and Continuous Improvement, from 1999 until 2005. Mr. Dailey was Vice President, Supply Chain and held other supply chain management positions from 1992 to 1999 for the North American Power Tools Division of The Black and Decker Corporation.

Richard J. (Dick) Guiltinan, Jr., age 54, has served as Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer since 2004. He was previously employed as a consultant to Chevron on three multinational restructuring and merger integration projects in 2002 and 2003. From 1985 to 2001, Mr. Guiltinan served in accounting, financial management and operating positions at Caltex Corporation, a joint venture of Chevron and Texaco, including as Chief Financial Officer from 2000 to 2001. He is also a director of North American Technologies Group, Inc., ("NAMC") a company that manufactures and markets composite railroad crossties to the railroad industry. He serves as Chairman of the Audit Committee of NAMC.

Jerry L. Rockstroh, age 52, has served as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain and Continuous Improvement Process since December 2006. He served as Vice President of Supply Chain and Continuous Improvement Process since late 2005 to December 2006 and as Vice President of Supply Chain during 2005. From September 1983 to February 2005, he served in various executive level positions within different business units of AlliedSignal/Honeywell, including as World Wide Vice President of Operations and Integrated Supply Chain.

Deborah K. (Kathy) Bethune, age 49, has served as Vice President, Tax since 2004. She was employed previously with Electronic Data Systems Corporation for 17 years, where she held several tax management positions, most recently as the Director of International Taxes for the Americas and Asia Pacific regions.

Paul W. Fehlman, age 44, has served as Vice President and Corporate Treasurer since 2005. He served as Director of Financial Services and Assistant Treasurer from 2000 to 2005.

Gary Collier joined Flowserve (BW/IP, Seal Division) at age 19 as part of the cooperative education program at Texas A&M University. While completing his degree in Mechanical Engineering, Gary worked in applications engineering at the Houston Quick Response Center. After graduation, he assumed the position of Sales Engineer and his customers included refineries, chemical plants, and power generation facilities. He was responsible for sales, field service, and technical support at these plant sites in various parts of Texas as well as for providing technical consulting on several overseas projects. During this time, Gary gained experience with all types of mechanically sealed equipment and was involved in numerous product development projects including prototyping, field trials, and design change initiatives. He also developed and implemented several reliability improvement/performance monitoring programs for his customers and participated on numerous alliance development and implementation teams. Following the merger of Durco and BW/IP, Gary joined the Educational Services Group and assisted in the design and construction of the Learning Resource Center (LRC). As a Training Specialist, he developed product cross-training and other technical programs for Flowserve employees. In addition, he presented numerous programs on pumps, seals, and equipment reliability to Flowserve customers at plant sites across the country. Gary returned to the field in 1999, working for an independent equipment distributor and providing field service for Flowserve Seals, Goulds Pumps and Sundyne high speed pumps and compressors. He recently rejoined Flowserve Educational Services and is using his 18 years of rotating equipment experience to produce new training material and learning experiences for Flowserve employees and customers.

Lou Hart joined Flowserve, (Borg Warner Mechanical Seals), as an Applications Engineer in 1981 after serving as General Maintenance Supervisor at Armour Dial in Montgomery, IL. Lou received his BS from Purdue University in 1976, where he had participated in the Cooperative Education Program with United States Steel Corporation beginning in 1974. He continued working as a shift supervisor after graduation at US Steel, Gary Works. In 1978 he was employed as a Project Supervisor by Barnard and Burk Engineers and Constructors. He was responsible for overseeing building trade crafts in the execution of maintenance contracts and project work in the refining and petrochemical industries in Chicago, IL, and Northwest Indiana. In 1982, Lou assumed the position of Sales Engineer for Borg Warner Mechanical Seals in the St. Louis, MO, area. His primary seal accounts were refineries and power plants. He was instrumental in the development of one of the first survey programs ever used for tracking seal performance in a major refinery. When the EPA's "Fugitive Emissions" requirements arrived in the Midwest in 1985, he was able to help his accounts comply while optimizing existing inventories and developing seal standardizations. In 1988, Lou pursued an opportunity to be the Sales Manager of a pump distributor in the St. Louis area, and worked in pump distribution until rejoining BW/IP in 1995. He has participated in pump training by such companies as Ingersoll Rand, Goulds, Gorman-Rupp, and Viking Pump. Lou returned to BW/IP International, Seal Division, in 1995 and served as a Senior Sales Engineer in the upper Midwest. After the formation of Flowserve in 1997, his territory included Iowa, Nebraska, and NW Illinois. Markets served were primarily Chemical, Power, and an OEM, (Viking Pump), which he developed into a major Flowserve Seal account. In October 2006, he joined the Flowserve Educational Services Group as a Training Specialist where he plans on using his 30+ years in industry, sales and service to contribute to the development of new training material and learning experiences for Flowserve employees and customers.

Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in manual valves, automated control valves, actuators and controls, Chuck Meeks helps companies by training their technicians to increase valve operational efficiency and reliability while reducing valve operating and maintenance costs.. His unique breadth of experience in valve maintenance and operation has been gained through working for 28 years in valve assembly, repair, maintenance, automation, testing, training, start up assistance, diagnostics/troubleshooting and field/technical service in all of the process industries in 47 states and 18 countries. Chuck spent 12 years in the US Army where he reached the rank of Staff Sergeant and held the position as Motor Sergeant with the responsibility of maintaining all motor vehicles (wheeled and track) in the units he was assigned to. Leaving the Army on a Friday in 1979 Chuck went to work for Valtek the following Monday where he spent the next 19 years prior to joining Flowserve's Educational Services Group at the Learning Resource Center In 1998. With over 40 years of maintenance/technical experience, with the majority in the Flow Control industry in many different countries, regions, and situations, Chuck is well qualified as a Trainer, and enjoys sharing his knowledge. Chuck has attended many training seminars and flow control related schools, and is certified as a Master Trainer by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). He is also a member of the Instrumentation, Systems, and Automation Society (ISA).

After serving in the South African Military as a Tactical Intelligence Instructor, Johnny started a career in the Engineering field at a steel manufacturer as an Apprentice Fitter in 1992. He qualified as a Mechanical Fitter in 1995 at the Metal and Engineering Trade School of South Africa with distinction and thereafter completed Mechanical Engineering studies at the Germiston Technical College in South Africa. As a Field Service Engineer he spent the following years traveling the outskirts of South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa troubleshooting and repairing Air Compressors and Pneumatic systems. Johnny was involved in setting up a new branch where he was responsible for the service group and new equipment sales. During this time he took the opportunity to undertake various courses in Sales and Marketing Management, Leadership Orientation and Business Management at Potchefstroom University in South Africa.

James O. Rollans, 58, is president and chief executive officer of Fluor Signature Services. He joined Fluor in 1982 as vice president, Corporate Communications and was named senior vice president and chief financial officer in 1992. He was appointed senior vice president and chief administrative officer in 1994, and reassumed direct responsibilities of chief financial officer from 1998 to 1999. He serves as a director of Flowserve Corporation, Inovision, L.P., and the Irvine Medical Center. (1997)

Diane C. Harris, age 65, has served as a director since 1993 and serves as a member of the Finance Committee. She is President of Hypotenuse Enterprises, Inc., a mergers and acquisitions service and corporate development outsourcing company. Ms. Harris was Vice President of Corporate Development of Bausch & Lomb Incorporated, an optics and health care products company, from 1981 to 1996, when she left to form Hypotenuse Enterprises, Inc. as its President. She was a director of the Association for Corporate Growth from 1993 to 1998 and its elected President from 1997 to 1998. Ms. Harris is also a director of the Monroe Fund, an investment company.

John R. Friedery, age 51, was elected as a director in August 2007 and serves as a member of the Audit Committee. Mr. Friedery is currently Senior Vice President, Ball Corporation; President, Metal Beverage Packaging, Americas and Asia, a provider of metal and plastic packaging for beverages, foods and household products, and of aerospace and other technologies services. He previously served as the Chief Operating Officer, Packaging Products Americas, and the President, Metal Beverage Container operations, as well as other leadership roles in Ball Corporation since 1988. Prior to his employment with Ball Corporation, he served in field operations for Dresser/Atlas Well Services and in operations, exploration and production for Nondorf Oil and Gas.

Joe E. Harlan, age 48, was elected as a director in August 2007 and serves as a member of the Finance Committee. Mr. Harlan is currently the Executive Vice President, Electro and Communications Business with 3M Company, a technology solutions provider to the electrical, electronics and communications markets worldwide. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Sumitomo 3M Ltd. from 2003 to 2004. Prior to his career with 3M Company, he held a number of leadership positions with General Electric Company, including serving as Vice President of Finance for GE Lighting Group (USA).

Michael F. Johnston, age 60, has served as a director since 1997. He serves as Chairman of the Finance Committee and as a member of the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee. Mr. Johnston is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Visteon Corporation (“Visteon”), an automotive components supplier and has served as Visteon’s President, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer at various times since 2000. Before joining Visteon, he was employed by Johnson Controls, Inc., a company serving the automotive and building services industry, as President of North America/Asia Pacific, Automotive Systems Group, from 1999 to 2000, President of Americas Automotive Group from 1997 to 1999 and in other senior management positions since 1991. He is also a director of Visteon and a director of Whirlpool Corporation, an appliance manufacturer.

Roger Fix was named President and Chief Executive Officer in January 2003. He joined Standex in 2001 as President and Chief Operating Officer and was elected to the Board of Directors. Prior to joining Standex, Roger had 25 years of experience running large enterprises with diverse manufacturing operations. Roger most recently served as Chief Executive Officer, President and Director of Outboard Marine Corporation (OMC), a recreational marine manufacturing company based in Chicago. He joined OMC in June 2000 as Chief Operating Officer and was subsequently named Chief Executive Officer, where he presided over the reorganization and liquidation of the company. Prior to his position at OMC, Roger was Chief Executive of John Crane, Inc., a $1 billion global manufacturer of mechanical seals for the process industry. He began at John Crane in 1996 as President-North America and was named Chief Executive in 1998. As Chief Executive, Roger was responsible for 35 manufacturing locations, 220 sales and service offices and 7,200 employees. Earlier in his career, Roger held senior management positions at XOMOX, a division of Emerson Electric, Reda Pump, a division of Pearsons, Plc. and Fisher Controls Company, a manufacturer of process control valves and electronic instrumentation. Roger holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nebraska and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas.
