Richard joined IMS Health straight from university in 1992. While initially intending to stay only for a couple of years, found himself there until the end of 2005. His time at IMS saw him move from internal software development projects (Dataview anyone?), to sales and service roles in many market sectors, including consumer health, ethical pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and the chemical industry. Managing the accounts of companies across Europe and The USA served to further broaden his perspectives on the international pharmaceutical industry. Responsible for the IMS Publications portfolio and latterly moving into co-ordinating pan-European sales force effectiveness projects, Richard has broad experience of what pharmaceutical companies look for in the agencies they work with, and he has sought to bring that experience to bear since joining Activity Benchmarking in 2006. With a young family, Richard has no shortage of demands on his time away from the office, and wouldn't have it any other way! A keen but unaccomplished golfer, he also follows the roller-coaster fortunes of his beloved Leeds United.
