John Fowler Executive Vice President, Systems Sun Microsystems Inc. Fowler has been with Sun for more than 14 years with experience in systems and software development and corporate strategy. As Executive Vice President of Sun's Systems Group, John Fowler is responsible for the delivery of all systems products including SPARC and x64-based servers as well as networking and disk and tape storage products. Mike Splain was named Executive Vice President of Sun's Microelectronics Group in April of 2008. In this role Mike leads all aspects of the Microelectronics technology development and business operations. A Sun Fellow, Mike has been with Sun for 20 years and also serves as Sun's Chief Engineer and CTO for the Systems Group. Mike is a member of Sun's Executive Leadership Team as well as the Technology Management Team and Team CTO at Sun. As the chief technologist, Mike strongly influences the technology, product, and operational strategies and tactics of the Systems group. He also serves as a valuable Sun wide resource to assist in the understanding and resolution of complex technical problems. Prior to his current role, Mike has served as CTO for the Scalable Systems Group, Processor and Network Products Group and the previous Microelectronics Group. Mike has participated in the verification of validation of the SuperSPARC-I/II and UltraSPARC-I/II/III/IV microprocessors. While a member of the Scalable Systems Group he helped lead the design, validation, and debug of some of Sun's first initial server product offerings: the Sun 490, Sun 690, SS10, SC1000, and SC2000. In addition to his technical roles, Mike also held a number of management positions including head of development for the MAJC architecture and microprocessors. Mike joined Sun in 1988 as a staff engineer. Previously, he was a member of the technical staff at Ridge Computers, Vitesse Semiconductor, Encore Computer, and Digital Equipment Corporation where he served in a variety of technical positions related to the development of microprocessors and high-end computer systems. Christine Bucklin Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategic Planning Sun Microsystems Inc. Christine Bucklin is responsible for Corporate Strategic Planning, reporting to the CEO of Sun Microsystems. Prior to joining Sun she was the chief operating officer at Internet Brands, Inc., where she was responsible for day-to-day operations across the company, including sales, customer service, product development, and other functions. For seven years, Christine was part of the executive team that grew a startup into a diversified $85 million company. As Senior Vice President of Corporate Marketing, Ingrid Van Den Hoogen drives Sun's brand, global communications and marketing communications efforts. Ingrid is a member of the Executive Leadership Team and reports to Jonathan Schwartz, Sun’s CEO and president. In this role, Ingrid has led Sun through a unique brand transformation that positions Sun as a leader in the Participation Age for the next decade. Joe Heel Senior Vice President, Global Services Sun Microsystems Inc. Joe Heel is Senior Vice President of Sun's $5B Global Services organization. He is responsible for revenue and margins across five segments - Support Services, Professional Services, Managed Services, Learning Services, and Financial Services. His organization includes the creation and development of new services, services marketing, services sales and services delivery. In previous roles, Joe led Sun's Industries & Partners sales organization, as well as the company's Global Storage Practice. Joe joined Sun in September 2005 with 13+ years as a Partner in the High Tech Practice at McKinsey and Company. At McKinsey, he served clients in Europe, the United States, and Latin America on corporate strategy, operations, mergers and acquisitions, business development, and organizational design. Heel also started and led McKinsey's Miami office and its Private Equity Practice. Prior to Penguin Computing, Bill spent 19 years at Sun Microsystems, most recently as Senior Vice President of US Sales, in this position he led a field force of 3,500 with revenues in excess of $5 billion. He is the coauthor of two books, one on Java Blueprints and the other on J2EE Connector Architecture. He also holds eight software patents. Crawford Beveridge Executive Vice President and Chairman, EMEA, APAC and the Americas Sun Microsystems Inc. Crawford W Beveridge is a technology industry veteran with more than 40 years of international experience. His role as Executive Vice President and Chairman, EMEA, APAC and the Americas, is to take a long term view and represent Sun's interests in geographies outside of the US, particularly in high growth geographies or where Sun has significant investment, such as the EU, Brazil, Russia, India and China. Specifically he works with governments on public policy issues in an effort to ensure that there is a level playing field in areas of emerging technology policy. Of particular focus are all areas of open - open standards, open source, open media formats, privacy and identity management, interoperability, eco responsibility and education. Before joining Sun in 1985 as vice-president corporate resources, he held HR management positions in the United States and Europe with Hewlett Packard Company, Digital Equipment Corp and Analog Devices Inc. In 1991 Beveridge left Sun to become the chief executive of Scottish Enterprise, the lead economic development organization for Scotland with more than 1,700 employees and an annual operating budget in excess of $800 million. Rahul N. Merchant Director since 2009 Mr. Merchant served as executive vice president, chief information officer and member of the executive committee at Fannie Mae. Prior to to this, Mr. Merchant served as the chief technology officer at Merrill Lynch. In these roles he managed among the world's largest technology budgets and has a deep first-hand knowledge of Sun's products and innovation roadmap. His previous experience also includes senior leadership roles at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson and Sanwa Financial Products. Mr. Merchant currently serves on the Boards of Collebara, Inc. and Netuitive and on the Board of Advisors of the American India Foundation.

Robert J. Finocchio, Jr. Former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Informix Corporation Director since 2006 Mr. Finocchio has been a Dean’s Executive Professor at Santa Clara University, Leavey School of Business, since September 2000. He served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Informix Corporation, an information management software company, from July 1997 to July 1999 and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Informix from July 1997 to September 2000. From December 1988 to May 1997, Mr. Finocchio was employed by 3COM Corporation, a global data networking company, where he held various positions, most recently serving as President, 3COM Systems. Mr. Finocchio also serves as a director of Altera Corporation and Echelon Corporation.

Stephen M. Bennett Private Investor and Consultant Director since 2004 Mr. Bennett has been a member of the Board of Directors of Intuit, Inc. since January 2000 and served as Intuit's President and Chief Executive Officer from January 2000 through December 2007. Prior to joining Intuit, a financial management software company, Mr. Bennett spent 23 years with General Electric Corporation. From December 1999 to January 2000, Mr. Bennett was an Executive Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors of GE Capital, the financial services subsidiary of General Electric Corporation. From July 1999 to November 1999, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Capital e-Business, and he was President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Capital Vendor Financial Services from April 1996 to June 1999. He also serves on the board of Qualcomm Incorporated.
