David Arculus became a non-executive director in February 2006 and currently serves on the audit and nomination committees and as chairman of the personnel committee. He is a non-executive director of Telefonica SA, and was previously chairman of O2 plc from 2004 until it was acquired by Telefonica at the beginning of 2006. His previous roles include chairman of Severn Trent plc and IPC Group, chief operating officer of United Business Media plc and group managing director of EMAP plc. David Bell became a director in March 1996. He was appointed Pearson s director for people with responsibility for finding, keeping, rewarding and inspiring our employees across the Pearson Group. He is chairman of the Financial Times and Sadler s Wells Theatre. He is also chairman of Crisis, a charity for the homeless, Roehampton University, The Institute for War and Peace Reporting and the London Transport Museum.
John Plender has been a senior editorial writer and columnist at the Financial Times since 1981, an assignment he combined until recently with current affairs broadcasting for the BBC and Channel Four. He has a weekly column on economics and business on Mondays and also writes for the opinion pages.

Michael Oxley is a sales director for Ignites Europe, based at the Financial Times in London. Previously Michael has worked at the Times Educational Supplement, the Trader Media Group & Reed Elsevier working on advertising campaigns with direct clients and media agencies. Michael graduated with honours at the University of Gloucestershire where he studied Sports Science.
Peter Oxner is the volunteer coordinator for Men's Ministry at Naperville Presbyterian Church. His efforts in the community of men within our congregation reflect the mission of NPC: "to infect all people with a joy in God's glory and passion to become like Him". By investing in lay leadership, Peter coordinates what is already happening in the church. He desires to help connect men to gospel-centered ministry opportunities and life-giving relationships. Peter is the Midwest Sales Director for the Financial Times and works in Chicago. A graduate of San Jose State University and an alumnus of Northwestern University and Moody Bible Institute, Peter enjoys all outdoor family activities, sports (especially soccer) and is a history buff. Peter joined NPC in 1997 with his wife Erin after moving to Naperville in 1995. Peter & Erin have 4 children - Gabriel (10), Grace (8), Harrison (6) and Shea (3).

He is author of "Inside Putin's Russia" (Granta/OUP) When Vladimir Putin was still an awkward technocrat plucked from obscurity by Boris Yeltsin to become prime minister in 1999, he was asked by journalists whom he considered to be his "comrades." Francis Hodgson is a photography critic for the Financial Times, and the former Head of Photographs at Sotheby's, London. A specialist in photography of many years? standing, Hodgson is unusual in having worked at a senior level both in the cultural and in the commercial aspects of photography. Hodgson was for some years the manager of the print room at the Photographers? Gallery in London. He later founded and directed Zwemmer Fine Photographs, a gallery specialised in photography, and has worked with several other galleries. Hodgson was also director of photography at Photonica, a major stock image library, where he was responsible for opening up the stock photography market to more artistic photography than had been considered possible. He was also at one time director of content at Eyestorm, the online art dealership. He has acted as representative and agent to photographers, and has been a writer and broadcaster on photography for many years. In another life, Hodgson authored "Only the Goalkeeper to Beat" (Macmillan 1998) a highly praised study of the role of the goalkeeper in soccer.
