Clyde W. Ostler is group executive vice president of Wells Fargo & Company. He is responsible for the Wealth Management Group and the Internet Services Group.
Wealth Management Group provides high net worth and affluent clients with products and services in the areas of Private Banking, investment counseling and management, trust and estate planning, and brokerage. Wealth Management Group has more than $200 billion in total assets under administration as of June 2007.
Internet Services provides a full range of products and services online, via a single sign on, for consumers and small businesses. Wells Fargo was the first major financial services company to launch internet banking services and enjoys a #1 market share of active online users among banks.
Joining Wells Fargo in 1971, Ostler has held management positions in Finance, Planning, International, Systems, Investment and Online Banking.
A native of San Diego, he graduated from the University of California at San Diego with a B.A. in mathematics in 1968, and from the University of Chicago with an M.B.A. in 1970. Ostler serves on a number of charitable and business boards.
David Hoyt is a senior executive vice president for Wells Fargo & Company and head of Wholesale Banking Group. He oversees Asset Management; Commercial Real Estate; Corporate Trust Services; Eastdil Secured, LLC; Insurance Services; International Financial Services; National Commercial Banking; Shareowner Services; Special Situations Group; Specialized Financial Services; Treasury Management; U.S. Corporate Banking; Wells Fargo Business Credit; Wells Fargo Trade Capital; Wells Fargo Equipment Finance, Inc.; Wells Fargo Foothill; Wells Fargo Funds Management, LLC; and Wholesale Services.
Based in San Francisco, the 27-year company veteran formerly managed the Capital Markets Group, the workout related groups for the Wholesale Bank, and was involved in various functions relating to the overall credit quality of the bank’s portfolio. Dave also was senior credit officer for the Real Estate Group, manager of the bank’s credit training function, and manager of the East Bay office of the Real Estate Group.
Dave is a board member of the Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd., the California Academy of Sciences, San Francisco Symphony, and the Bay Area Council.
Dave graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Howard I. Atkins, senior executive vice president and chief financial officer, is responsible for Wells Fargo’s financial management functions (including controllers, financial reporting, tax management, asset-liability management, treasury, corporate development, investor relations, mergers and acquisitions), its investment portfolios (including fixed income, venture capital and private equity investments) and its corporate properties functions.
A 32-year veteran of the financial services industry, he joined Wells Fargo in 2001. Formerly, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of New York Life Insurance Company responsible for financial management and information technology.
Before joining New York Life in 1996, he was Chief Financial Officer at Midlantic Corporation before its merger with PNCBank Corp. He helped design and oversee Midlantic’s financial restructuring, taking the company from near bankruptcy to one with among the best operating margins, productivity levels, and capital ratios in commercial banking in the United States at that time.
He also spent 17 years at Chase Manhattan Bank, where he rose to Corporate Treasurer. During his tenure at Chase, he was responsible for asset liability management, capital planning, funding and investments, and interest rate insurance products. He spent four years in Europe with responsibility for Chase’s foreign exchange and capital markets business.
He is a member of the American Banker CFO Advisory Board, the Financial Executives Institute, and the Conference Board. He also is a director of Ingram Micro, the largest IT distributor in the world, and serves on the board of trustees for the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco.
He received a B.S. degree in mathematics from City College, New York, and his master’s degree in economics from Ohio State University.

Jim Strother became EVP and General Counsel of Wells Fargo & Company in late 2003, responsible for legal affairs and government relations for the company.
In June 2001 was named a deputy general counsel of Wells Fargo & Company, responsible for legal services for all the company's consumer businesses including lending, deposits, retail brokerage services, insurance and information sharing.
He served as EVP, General Counsel and Secretary of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage from 1998 to 2001. Before joining Wells Fargo in 1998, he was Vice President and Assistant General Counsel with Norwest Corporation. He was named Counsel when he joined Norwest in 1986 and held that position until 1989 when he became Assistant General Counsel.

Stephen W. Sanger is the retired Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of General Mills, Inc., a consumer food products company. He served as Chief Executive Officer of General Mills from 1995 to September 2007, and as Chairman of the Board from 1995 to May 2008. He is a director of Wells Fargo & Company and Pfizer, Inc.
John Stumpf was named Chief Executive Officer in June 2007, elected to Wells Fargo’s Board of Directors in June 2006, and has been President since August 2005.
A 26-year veteran of the company, he joined the former Norwest Corporation (predecessor of Wells Fargo) in 1982 in the loan administration department and then became senior vice president and chief credit officer for Norwest Bank, N.A., Minneapolis. He held a number of management positions at Norwest Bank Minneapolis and Norwest Bank Minnesota before assuming responsibility for Norwest Bank Arizona in 1989. He was named regional president for Norwest Banks in Colorado/Arizona in 1991. From 1994 to 1998, he was regional president for Norwest Bank Texas. During his four years in that position, he led Norwest’s acquisition of 30 Texas banks with total assets of more than $13 billion.
In 1998, with the merger of Norwest Corporation and Wells Fargo & Company, he became head of the Southwestern Banking Group (Arizona, New Mexico and Texas). Two years later he became head of the new Western Banking Group (Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming). In 2000, he led the integration of Wells Fargo’s acquisition of the $23 billion First Security Corporation, based in Salt Lake City. In May 2002, he was named Group EVP of Community Banking.
He serves on the Board of Directors for The Clearing House, the San Francisco Committee on JOBS and the Financial Services Roundtable. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and is a member of the California Business Roundtable.

Michael J. Loughlin became Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer of Wells Fargo & Company in April of 2006. Previously, he was responsible for credit approval, policy and reporting for Wholesale Banking. A banking professional with twenty-five years of experience, he joined the company in 1986 after Wells Fargo acquired Crocker Bank.
Before being head of credit for Wells Fargo Wholesale Banking, he was responsible for the private banking business of Private Client Services, headed systems and operations for the Wholesale Banking unit, and held other positions within Commercial and Corporate Banking including head of U.S. Corporate Banking and Regional Vice President in the Santa Clara Valley Regional Commercial Banking Office.
He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1978.
Carrie Tolstedt is responsible for retail, small business and business banking at Wells Fargo: over 115,000 team members, serving more than 20 million retail banking households and over 2 million small business and business banking households, through 6,610 banking stores and over 12,300 ATMs in 39 states and the District of Columbia, Wells Fargo Phone BanksSM, and wellsfargo.com. Community Banking serves four primary customer segments: mass market, upper mass affluent, small business and business banking. Carrie also leads the Distribution Strategies and Services Group, Sales, Service and Development, Internet Services Group, Enterprise Marketing, and Diversified Products, which includes the Consumer and Business Deposits Product Groups, National Home Equity Group, Business Direct, Wells Fargo Dealer Services, SBA Lending, Merchant Payment Services, and Business Payroll Services.
With over twenty years of financial services experience, Carrie began her career at United Bank of Denver. In 1986, she joined Norwest Bank Nebraska. In May 1998, after leaving to work for FirstMerit Corporation (May 1995-May 1998), she rejoined Norwest Corporation. In December 1998, Carrie became regional president for Central California for Wells Fargo & Company after the merger of Norwest Corporation and Wells Fargo. In 2001, she was named a Group EVP, responsible for Wells Fargo’s California Community & Border Banking Group. In mid-2002, she became head of Regional Banking which includes the retail segment across Wells Fargo’s 23-state footprint, small business and business banking. In June 2007, Carrie was named to her current role as Senior EVP Community Banking.
Carrie was selected as one of U.S. Banker’s “25 Most Powerful Women in Banking” (6th Annual, October 2008), one of the Bay Area’s “100 Most Influential Women in Business” by the San Francisco Business Times (April 2008), and she was noted as one of five “Women to Watch” by Fortune magazine (October 2002).
She graduated from the University of Nebraska with a B.S. degree in business administration and completed the Pacific Coast Banking School, University of Washington.

David Carroll is responsible for Wells Fargo’s wealth management business, including private banking and trust and estate services; brokerage services, including retail brokerage; and retirement services, including its institutional recordkeeping business.
A 29-year financial services veteran, he joined Wachovia Bank & Trust Company in 1979 and then First Union Bank (Wachovia’s predecessor) in 1981. Since 2005, he served as senior executive vice president and head of Wachovia’s Capital Management Group, which included retail brokerage (Wachovia Securities), asset management (Evergreen Investments), and Retirement and Investment Products. Previously, he was head of corporate services and merger integration, chief of eCommerce and technology, and head of First Union’s General Banking Group region in Florida and earlier Georgia.
He serves on the Board of the Mint Museum of Art in Charlotte and on the Board of Visitors of the Kenan-Flager Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A North Carolina native, he earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
Kevin Rhein, a 30-year veteran of the financial services industry, serves as division president and oversees Consumer Credit Card, Consumer and Business Debit Card/Prepaid Products, Education Financial Services, Global Remittance Services, Personal Credit Management and Wells Fargo Financial. Under Rhein’s leadership, the nearly 20,000 team members in these units serve more than 16 million customers in the United States, Canada and elsewhere; and collectively manage more than $100 billion in assets.
Before joining Wells Fargo, Rhein spent 15 years with Citibank/Citicorp in positions including director of retail banking, director of retail branch operations at Citibank Arizona, and regional director for Citicorp Mortgage.
Rhein is a member of the Wells Fargo Management Committee and Fair Lending Committee. He promotes financial literacy and is a member of the Board of Center for Financial Services Innovation, a Chicago-based group that assists the financial services industry to identify, develop, and implement innovative ways to serve the under-banked market. He also is a member of the Board of First Children’s Finance, which helps children thrive and learn by forging relationships that bring economic power and viability to the business of child care.
He also serves on the Federal Reserve Bank's Consumer Advisory Committee which advises the Federal Reserve Board on its responsibilities under the Consumer Credit Protection Act and on other consumer financial services. He has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Illinois, and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Executive vice president Pat Callahan is responsible for providing oversight and strategic direction for the merger of Wells Fargo & Company and Wachovia Corporation. The Office of Transition, overseeing the most extensive merger in the company’s history, coordinates merger-related activities among all businesses for both companies, gathers and assesses information, tracks progress, shares best practices, and will help create the new Wells Fargo. Callahan also oversees Corporate Human Resources, Corporate Communications, Enterprise Expense Management and the Social Responsibility Group.
A 31-year veteran of the company, Callahan was head of Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management, providing regulatory compliance oversight for the company. Before that, she was head of Human Resources since the Norwest-Wells Fargo merger in 1998. Before the merger, she was head of Wholesale Banking Systems, Finance and Operations, and head of Human Resources from 1993 to 1997.
Callahan began her banking career at Crocker National Bank and held management positions in operations, finance and commercial real estate. In 1984 she was promoted to senior vice president and manager of Corporate Services. When Crocker merged with Wells Fargo, she became division manager of Wholesale Operations and Systems and served on the company’s Corporate Responsibility Committee. In 1991, she assumed responsibility for systems, operations and finance for the Real Estate Group.
She graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she earned her bachelors’ degree in mechanical engineering and her masters’ degree in management/finance.
Callahan serves on the Board of Directors of The Marine Mammal Center and is a Trustee of Dominican University in San Rafael.

Mary Wenzel manages environmental affairs for Wells Fargo. She is responsible for helping establish and monitor the company’s environmental policies and procedures, integrating them into all Wells Fargo businesses and functions, and communicating the company’s environmental positions and achievements to the company’s stakeholders.
Mary has more than 15 years of environmental experience in the public, private and nonprofit sectors. Mary joined Wells Fargo in December 2004. Before joining Wells Fargo, she worked for the US EPA Region 9 in San Francisco. She was responsible for working with tribal nations in the Western US. Mary also worked for the US EPA in Washington, DC in their renewable energy and Energy STAR programs. She also served as Director of Government Affairs for a clean energy development company in the Bay Area and Manager of Environmental Affairs for Enron Corp in San Francisco and Houston.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University and a Master’s of Public Administration from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.
Silvia A. Grutter-Norman is vice president and Latino Banking manager for Wells Fargo in Utah. Under her direction, Wells Fargo was the first financial services company in the state to open a Latino-focused branch and to accept Utah's Driving Privilege Card as a valid form of identification for opening new accounts. She is a member of Mujeres Latinas and serves as a committee member for the Utah Bankers Association. Silvia is also co-chair for Wells Fargo's Amigos Utah group.

Before joining the company in 1987, she was a training manager at CENEX, now the energy brand of CHS, Inc., a Fortune 500 company.

Lori Corless-Kennedy is senior vice president and Community Bank district manager for Wells Fargo's North Jefferson County Market. She oversees a team of nearly 150 financial services professionals at six stores who work with individuals to satisfy all of their financial needs and help them succeed financially. Corless-Kennedy and her team provide customers access to Wells Fargo's complete range of financial services including banking, mortgage, investments, insurance, consumer finance and more. Corless-Kennedy has more than 20 years experience in the financial services industry, and has been with Wells Fargo since 1991. Since joining Wells Fargo, she has held a number of positions, including store manager of the company's Northglenn store. She was promoted to senior vice president and district manager in 2003. Corless-Kennedy is actively involved in the community and is on the board of Adams County Economic Development, the American Liver Foundation and Boys and Girls Clubs of Amercia.

Tarita Whittingham is a Bay Area native and first learned about EARN's mission in 2002 through her work as a Community Development Officer for Wells Fargo bringing financial literacy, small business and affordable housing programs to local non-profits that serve our low-income populations. Tarita is committed to learning how to positively impact the lives of Bay Area low-income people of color and their families through community involvement, innovative programs and services, and partnerships of all kinds. She also serves on the boards of C.E.O. Women (Creating Economic Opportunities for Women) and Asian Neighborhood Design. Tarita has an English degree from Chapman University and an MBA in marketing and strategy from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business.
Zena has 11 years of professional banking experience and currently works as a Commercial Relationship Manager at the San Diego Regional Commercial Banking Office of Wells Fargo. Zena is involved with several organizations including the Pacific Beach Toastmasters, City of Hope Breast Cancer and Wells Team Community volunteer. She currently serves as the Chair of Family Literacy Foundation's Planned Giving & Endowment Committee and on its Finance Committee.

Richard Levy is Executive Vice President and Controller for Wells Fargo & Company. He is an accounting graduate of Pennsylvania State University and received his master's degree in taxation from Pace University's Lubin School of Graduate Studies. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Bob Worth is head of Wells Fargo s California Business Banking unit, which serves California companies with annual revenues between $2 million and $20 million. A 32-year veteran of the company, Worth assumed his current role in 2003. Previously, he was regional president for the San Francisco Bay Area community bank, where he was responsible for 2,900 team members, more than $22 billion in deposits and 200 stores. Before that, he was regional president successively in Montana, southern Arizona and Southern California. In addition to his board position with CBA, Worth has served as board member and chair of the Northern Rockies Cancer Center and the Montana Bankers Association.

Diane Lilly, Senior Vice President for Government Relations with Wells Fargo & Company, is a lay representative of Twin Cities Public Television and currently chairs the Board of Trustees. Diane directs Wells Fargo’s multi-state and federal legislative efforts as well as its grassroots lobbying and political action programs across the country. Diane also works with senior management developing corporate positions on key legislative issues that impact Wells Fargo. She also has responsibility for managing the Wells Fargo Community Reinvestment Act Risk Management Department.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo in 1998, Diane spent 11 years as president of Norwest Foundation and managed its $25 million giving program. She also spent nine years as vice president of Norwest Government Relations, directing federal and state government relations efforts in Norwest’s seven-state region and in Washington, D.C.
Diane is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Minneapolis Institute of Arts and a member of the Minnesota Women’s Roundtable. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Council on Foundations, Minnesota Citizens for the Arts, Hennepin Center for the Arts, Guthrie Theater Foundation and the Minnesota Private College Council. She also has served on the Minnesota Business Partnership Political Effectiveness Committee, the American Bankers Government Relations Committee, YWCA Board of Trustees, chair of the United Way of Minneapolis Corporate Foundation Council and Leadership Minneapolis.
Diane received her bachelor’s degree in English literature from Newton College of the Sacred Heart.
Glenn Perkins is a senior communications consultant with Wells Fargo's Technology Information Group (TIG). Glenn has served at Wells Fargo since 1993, providing comprehensive communications and editorial support to several national divisions including Wells Fargo Services, Enterprise Architecture, Strategic Planning, Corporate Transition Services, Consumer Banking Group, and Employee Communications. He previously served as communications and advertising manager with Mutual Health Care Systems, Inc., publications editor and public relations manager with The Benj. Franklin Federal Savings & Loan Association, journalism instructor with Chemeketa Community College, spokesman with the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, reporter/photographer with the Canon City (Colo.) Daily Record, and staff writer with the United Press International's Denver bureau. He also served with the U.S. Army in a communications capacity. Glenn is a graduate of the University of Oregon with an M.S. degree in Journalism, the University of Southern Colorado with a B.S. degree in Mass Communications, and Grahm Junior College with an A.S. degree in Communications.
