Jim Wilson partnered with Kevin Costner in 1988 to form Tig Productions, Inc; and in 1990 they produced the epic DANCES WITH WOLVES, winner of seven Academy Awards, in which Costner both starred and directed. Wilson produced, with Lawrence Kasdan, 1993's blockbuster THE BODYGUARD, and WYATT EARP. Most recently, he served as executive producer of the eight-hour documentary mini-series 500 NATIONS for CBS, which follows the epic stuggles of native American Indian nations from creation to the current day. Wilson graduated from Antioch College and the Berkley Film Institute, after which he founded American Twist Productions where he produced and directed numerous short films for clients such as the U.S. Tennis Association, Congoleum, Volvo, the Robert F. Kennedy Foundation and Kodak. Wilson's feature film directorial debut was 1983's STACY'S KNIGHTS, which was written by Micheal Blake and stared Kevin Costner in his first leading role. In 1985 he directed THE MOVIE MAKER and in 1988 was the associate producer on the Costner starrer REVENGE. Wilson currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.

Hellen Pollak was born in Poland and raised in New York, she studied law and criminology at Lenham College in New York before going into commercial production, first working in wardrobe and then as a producer. She began her film career as a director's assistant working on TATTOO, THE CHOSEN, and GHOST STORY and quickly rose up through the ranks to become unit production manager on such films as MISS CRACKER, THE DOORS, OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY, NORTH, THE BODYGUARD and most recently CITY HALL. HEAD ABOVE WATER marks Pollak's first film with a co-producer credit. She lives in Los Angeles.

Jeffrey Beecroft's feature credits include DANCES WITH WOLVES, for which he received an Academy Award nomination, THE BODYGUARD, STOP MAKING SENSE, PONTIAC MOON, THE WIZARD OF LONELINESS, THREE SISTERS and CYRANO DE BERGERAC. John Jacobsen is a native of Norway where he is the current head of Filmkameratene, the country's leading film and television distribution company. Jacobsen has been working in the Norwegian film industry since he was 15, where he began by booking films into a small neighborhood theater. He produced his first film in 1983 and has since completed eight films including PATHFINDER, which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Film, and the family adventure SHIPWRECKED which was made for the Walt Disney Company.
