Lamido was General Manager at the United Bank for Africa Plc before he joined the Board of First Bank of Nigeria Plc. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria in 1981, after attending St. Anne?s Primary School, Kakuri, Kaduna and King?s College, Lagos (1973-1977). Following his national service in the then Gongola State, he returned to ABU for post-graduate studies. Between 1991 and 1997 he was at the International University of Africa, Khartoum, Sudan where he first studied Arabic before obtaining a second Bachelor?s degree, this time in Islamic Law. Lamido began his working career in academics, teaching undergraduate Economics at ABU (1983-1985). He then proceeded to a banking career, first with Icon Limited (Merchant Bankers), where in a period of about seven years he gained wide experience in Issuing House activities, Financial Advisory Services, Privatisation, Debt-Conversion and Credit and Marketing. He rose to become Area Manager, Kano Area Office, before he resigned voluntarily in 1992 to pursue higher education. He returned to banking in May, 1997 when he joined the newly privatised United Bank for Africa Plc as a Principal Manager 2 in the Credit Risk Management Division. He rose to Principal Manager 1 in January, 1998 and Assistant General Manager by December of that year. He subsequently earned promotions to Deputy General Manager (January 2002) and General Manager (March 2005). In January 2002, Lamido was appointed Head, Group Risk Management, and tasked with transforming the previous Credit Risk Management Division into an Enterprise-Risk Management sector. He spearheaded UBA?s Basel 2 focus by establishing the framework, policies, processes and systems necessary for compliance with the guidelines of the New Capital accord. Lamido has presented papers at dozens of academic fora on several continents, and many of his papers have been published in academic journals, books and newspapers. Lamido has been invited to join the Board in recognition of his reputation in the industry as a professional, and his personal contribution to the development of a Risk Management culture not just in UBA Plc, but in the Nigerian banking space.

Alhaji Mahmoud has professional Banking and Accountancy qualifications having obtained Diploma in Accountancy, ABU (1966), ACCA, UK (1973), FCA (1980) and FCIB (1992). He is a banking and management enthusiast with almost twenty-five (25) years of considerable experience in both domestic and international banking activities. He has held various responsible positions in different banks, insurance and reputable companies in the country among which are General Manager, United Bank for Africa Plc, Managing Director, African International Bank Limited and now, Group Managing Director, Northern Nigerian Development Company Limited. He is also a Director of First Bank of Nigeria Plc.

In addition to Honeywell Group, Oba Otudeko is also Chairman of various organizations, which include Econet Wireless Nigeria Limited, FBN (UK) Limited, First Trustees Nigeria Limited and Fan Milk Plc amongst others. He is the 2nd Vice-President of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. He also functions on the Board of Directors of numerous outstanding and successful companies inter alia, First Bank Nigeria Plc, Guinness Nigeria Plc, British American Tobacco Nigeria Limited. Mr. Oba Otudeko is the pioneer Chairman of the Nigerian-South African Chamber of Commerce and is on the Board of the Franco-Nigeria Chamber of commerce. He is also the Chancellor of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State, Nigeria. Outside Nigeria, he holds directorship positions in overseas companies, promoting international business relationships with Nigeria. Oba Otudeko is a recipient of various awards and international honours and holds a D.Sc Honoris Causa. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Chartered Institute of Bankers and Chartered Institute of Secretaries.

He is a member of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and also the current Chairman of the Nigerian Insurers Association. He is a product of Mayflower School, Ikenne Ogun State and later a graduate of University of Houston, Texas, USA from where he obtained a Bachelor and Master Degrees in Business Administration, specialising in Finance. His career began in Insurance with SCIB & Company Insurance Brokers (an affiliate of Sedgwicks Insurance Brokers) in 1980 and joined LEADWAY in 1981. In 1994, he became the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company. He is a Munich-Re scholar, being the First West African recipient of Munich-Re Fellowship at Georgia State University. He has done extensive research on computerization of Insurance business. Mr. Oye Hassan-Odukale is on the board of a number of reputable companies and was appointed a member of the Governing Council of Nigerian Insurers Association in 1995. He also served on the Federal Government of Nigeria's Committee for the review of Insurance Laws.
