First Market Bank

Ray began his professional career in 1975 with the Richmond office of Ernst & Young, working principally with the firm's financial institution clients. In 1981 he made the transition from public accounting to banking, joining Central Fidelity as its Assistant Controller. Since then he has held various positions from Controller to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Ray joined First Market in September 2004.

Gary has over twenty years of experience in commercial banking, serving in credit analysis, commercial product management, credit administration and relationship management roles. Gary currently serves on the boards of the Chesterfield Business Council, Barksdale Theatre, Family Lifeline, the Carolinas/Virginias Chapter of the Risk Management Association and is a graduate of the Leadership Metro Richmond class of 2003. Gary joined First Market Bank in 1998.

Jeanie specializes in residential building and developer lending She began her banking career at Fidelity Federal Savings Bank in 1988. She continued her career with BB&T after their acquisition of Fidelity Federal and then moved to First Market Bank's Commercial Lending Group in 2001.

Bobby has worked in the investments field for over 16 years. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the Richmond Society of Financial Analysts and the CFA Institute. He worked as a Senior Portfolio Manager at Wachovia Bank, as a Financial Consultant with Smith Barney and as a Financial Analyst with Westvaco Corporation. Bobby joined First Market Bank in July 2001.

Steve began his career at First and Merchants National Bank in 1974 moving to Central Fidelity Bank in 1983 where he served as senior commercial account officer and later as regional retail division manager. He joined First Market Bank in 1999 and currently serves on the boards of Needle's Eye Ministries, Boaz and Ruth and First Things First.

Stuart has more than 16 years of legal and banking experience. He managed the Private Client Services group at Thomason, Siegel and Walmsley, and the Personal Trust Department for the capital region of Central Fidelity Bank. He also served as a staff clerk with the Supreme Court of Virginia before entering private practice. Stuart joined First Market Bank in July 2001.

Christy Pauley works as an Assistant Branch Manager at First Market Bank. She holds a BA in Psychology from George Mason University and has been a member of various boards and service committees. She has also been a member of the Fredericksburg Jaycees and has been active with the Chamber. She currently serves as the RBBBS Fund Development Committee Chair and is also a Big Sister. Christy has a very outgoing personality, leadership skills, and the ability to work well with people. She and her husband, Jason, live in Spotsylvania.

James E. Ukrop, age 70, has been a director of Legg Mason since January 1985. Since 1997, he has been the Chairman of the Board of Ukrop’s Super Markets, Inc., which operates a chain of supermarkets in Virginia. Mr. Ukrop is a director of Owens & Minor, Inc. and Chairman of First Market Bank.
