Armando Olivera is president and chief executive officer of Florida Power & Light Company (FPL), the rate-regulated electric utility subsidiary of FPL Group, Inc., and one of the largest investor-owned electric utilities in the nation. He was appointed president in June 2003. Under Mr. Olivera's leadership, FPL has invested heavily in ensuring reliable service and meeting strong current and projected growth in demand for electric power in its vast service territory. FPL has one of the most efficient fossil power plant fleets in the nation and has taken a number of additional actions to mitigate high fuel costs. The company has implemented an industry-leading program to harden its electric system against hurricanes as well as ensure everyday reliability. Mr. Olivera joined FPL in 1972 and has served in a variety of management positions in the areas of transmission and distribution operations, fuels management, and strategic planning and resource allocation. His position before becoming president was as senior vice president of FPL's Power Systems business unit. Mr. Olivera holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Miami. He also is a graduate of the professional management development program of the Harvard Business School. In 2007, Mr. Olivera was appointed by Florida Governor Charlie Crist to serve on the Florida Governor's Action Team on Energy and Climate Change, which is tasked with developing a comprehensive strategy that achieves targets for statewide greenhouse gas reductions. He is the current president of the Southeastern Electric Exchange, immediate past chairman of the Florida Reliability Coordinating Council (FRCC), and a member of the board of Enterprise Florida, as well as a member of Cornell University Engineering Council and Cornell University Council.

Lewis Hay III, 52, is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of FPL Group, Inc., a public utility holding company, and is Chairman of both Florida Power and Light Company and FPL Energy, LLC. He joined FPL Group in 1999 as Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer. From March 2000 until December 2001, he served as President of FPL Groupa s competitive energy subsidiary, FPL Energy, LLC. He was named President and Chief Executive Officer of FPL Group in June 2001 and relinquished the title of President in December 2006. He was named Chairman in January 2002. Mr. Hay has been a member of our Board since February 2002 and is Chairperson of the Corporate Governance Committee and a member of the Audit Committee. In addition to being a director of FPL Group, Mr. Hay is also a director of Capital One Financial Corporation, Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations, a director of the Florida Council of 100, a member of the Business Roundtable and a member of the Business Board of Advisors of the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.

Chuck Warrington is the Managing Director & Executive Officer of the Clearwater Gas System (CGS), the 35th largest publicly-owned gas system in America & the 4th largest municipally-owned gas system in Florida. CGS is one of the fastest growing gas systems in America (about +7%/year) and serves 18 municipalities in 2 counties in the fast growing Tampa Bay area of Florida with both natural & propane gas. Chuck is currently President of the Florida Natural Gas Association, which represents the 38 public and investor-owned gas systems in Florida, and is the Immediate Past President of the Florida Municipal Natural Gas Association. He is a Past Chairman of the American Public Gas Association, which represents the nearly 1,000 publicly-owned gas systems in America. Chuck is a 35-year utility professional with both electric & gas background, having served his 1st 20 years with Florida Power & Light Company in positions including General Manager of Miami, Florida, & State-wide Director of Customer Services. He was intimately involved in FPL's winning of the Japanese Deming Award for Quality. He is a graduate of Georgia Tech as well as the Utility Executive Management Training program at the University of Michigan.

Rod Macon has worked for Florida Power & Light for 35 years, holding various positions in engineering, power services, consumer services, marketing, commercial operations, sales and external affairs. As regional manager for external affairs, he is responsible for government affairs and community relations. Macon is on boards for the Economic Council of Palm Beach County, United Way, Children?s Services Council and more. He received his bachelor?s degree from the University of Florida, an M.B.A. from Florida Atlantic University and a D.B.A. from Nova University.

Ms. McPhaul was born and raised in California and recently relocated to Sylvester. She is currently employed by Florida Power & Light in the construction of wind power facilities around the country. She works from her home office and periodically travels to work sites. She has worked in the power industry for the past 20 years and was in retail sales prior to that.
