Janet Flynn, RD, joined us in 1999 and was recently promoted to Wegmans brand quality assurance manager. You'll find Janet in the test kitchen, making sure that our Consumer Affairs specialists and store employees get the information needed to answer customers' questions about our products. Having Janet in the test kitchen has been particularly helpful in serving customers with special needs. Jane Andrews, RD MS, convinced Mary Ellen Burris in 1988 that Wegmans needed a registered dietitian on staff. Jane advocates "the multiplier effect" by working to inspire other employees to share food and nutrition information with customers. She now manages a diverse team of talented nutritionists whose mission is to help you "eat well live well" through everyday choices in the aisle and on the plate.

Allison Parker, MS, RD, Buffalo division nutritionist since July '08, is gaining expertise in natural and organic production and shares her knowledge through fresh news e-mails and community events. Allison enjoys making a difference in the lives of others such as with gluten free cooking classes. She's a recent graduate of Tufts program in nutrition policy and communications.

Jean Bauch, RD, CDE, CPT is a certified diabetes educator and certified insulin pump trainer with Unity Health and shares her diabetes knowledge to Fresh News subscribers and wegmans.com users. She is commonly asked, "What can I eat now that I have diabetes?" Jean has worked/consulted with Wegmans since 2000 to bring diabetes-friendly food information online and to the stores.

Krystal Register, MS, RD, has been nutritionist and media spokesperson over the past year for our stores in Virginia and Maryland. Krystal has expertise as a weight management coach and takes advantage of teachable moments in the aisles, in media interviews and at community events. She enjoys being a part of the Wegmans family and advocates for those with special dietary needs such as food allergy and celiac disease.
