Christian Ragot, 50, has served as a director since January 29, 2007 and as our President and Chief Executive Officer since April 30, 2007. He served as our Chief Operating Officer from January 29 to April 30, 2007. Mr. Ragot was President of Terex Utilities and Roadbuilding at Terex Corporation from 2004 to 2007. Previously, Mr. Ragot held various senior executive leadership positions, including President of Terex Utilities, President of American Crane, Senior Vice-President, Sales and Aftermarket Services, and other senior-level positions, at Terex Corporation. Prior to joining Terex Corporation in 1999, Mr. Ragot was Vice President and General Manager of the Air Compressor Group, Europe of Ingersoll-Rand Company, and held various other managerial and senior-level positions during his 15 years at Ingersoll-Rand Company.

"Christopher Nagel, assumed the role of vice president of finance and chief financial officer in January 2009. Prior to joining the FreightCar America team, he was CFO of The Wallick Companies, a property management and construction business. He spent almost nine years at The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company in positions of expanding leadership scope. In his most recent role, he served as Scotts’ executive vice president–North American Consumer Business. He also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Scotts from 2003 to 2006, and prior to that, as senior vice president–North American Finance and Corporate Controller. Earlier in his career, he held finance roles of increasing responsibility at Borden, Inc. and its successors. He began his career in public accounting with Pricewaterhouse Coopers.

Nicholas J. Matthews, joined FreightCar America in January of 2008.A He serves as our Senior Vice President of Operations.A Nick is responsible for our company's manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, and after market parts functions. Prior to joining FreightCar America, he was employed by Trinity Industries for fourteen years where he held various technical and operations positions of expanding leadership scope.
Theodore W. Baun, assumed the role of Vice President, Sales in November 2007. Prior to this position, he held the position of Vice President Sales, Western Region. In 2003, Ted joined Mitsui Rail Capital as Director of Sales and rejoined FreightCar America in 2005. Between 1994 and 2003, Ted held numerous positions within FreightCar America’s Sales & Marketing and Manufacturing departments.

Charles J. Magolske, assumed the role of vice president business development and strategy in May 2007. He is responsible for developing our strategic plans, guiding the organization in achieving goals and objectives to support the strategy, identifying business opportunities, developing investment strategies, managing the acquisitions process and developing and negotiating our Joint Ventures. Prior to this role, he served as our international managing director and was responsible for all international sales and international business development.
Gary S. Boast, has served as our vice president of information technology since 2001. Previously, he held the title of Director, Information Services. Prior to joining FCA, Gary was employed in network operations for the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (S.W.I.F.T), Culpeper, VA. Gary has an extensive technical background in implementing and managing technology.
Glen T. Karan , 56, has served as our Vice President, Planning and Administration since November 2004. He has also has served as our Vice President, Finance, Secretary and Treasurer from 2001 to November 2004 and Vice President, Finance, Secretary and Treasurer of our subsidiaries from 1999 to 2001. Previously, Mr. Karan served in various senior financial positions for our subsidiaries from 1994 to 1999. Prior to joining us, Mr. Karan worked for Miller Picking/York International Corporation from 1976 to 1994. At York, Mr. Karan held positions as Vice President of Finance and Contracts Officer from 1987 to 1994, Controller and Secretary from 1977 to 1987 and Assistant Controller from 1976 to 1977.
"Laurence Trusdell, was appointed as FreightCar America's general counsel in June 2007. Prior to joining FCA, Larry was employed by W.W. Grainger in Lake Forest, IL as their Vice President of Law and Corporate Secretary. Larry has broad experience in domestic and international law, including litigation management and government compliance.

S. Carl Soderstrom, Jr., 54, has served as a director since April 2005 and is the chairman of our audit committee. Mr. Soderstrom was employed by ArvinMeritor, Inc. and its predecessor companies from 1986 to 2004 and served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of ArvinMeritor, Inc. from July 2001 to December 2004. Mr. Soderstrom is a member of the board of directors of Lydall, Inc. and serves as a member of the audit committee and chairman of the corporate governance committee of Lydall, Inc.
Thomas M. Fitzpatrick , 56, has served as a director since December 2005 and as the Chairman of the Board of Directors since March 2007. Mr. Fitzpatrick is the managing partner of Sharp & Fitzpatrick LLP, the predecessor of which he founded in 1987. Mr. Fitzpatrick has also served as the managing director of Harper Laboratories LLC since 2005. Between 1986 and 2004, Mr. Fitzpatrick was the managing partner of 2200 Ventures LLC and its predecessors. Thomas A. Madden , 55, has served as a director since December 2005 and is the chairman of our compensation committee. Mr. Madden served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Ingram Micro Inc. from July 2001 to April 2005. From October 1997 to July 2001, Mr. Madden served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of ArvinMeritor, Inc.
