Adrian Montague was appointed chairman in May 2005, having been appointed as an independent director in October 2004. He is a member of the Investment and Nomination committees; the non-executive chairman of British Energy Holdings plc, Michael Page International plc and Infrastructure Investors Ltd; and a non-executive director of Cellmark Holdings AB (Sweden) and a trustee of the Waterways Trust. Danielle joined the Foundation on the 1 November 2004 after 6 years as Director of Policy & Practice Development at the Joseph Rowntree Foundation. Previously, Danielle was Acting Head of Policy at the Community Fund (now part of the Big Lottery Fund) with special responsibility for devising, monitoring and evaluation systems for grant-making as well as planning grant programmes. She has worked in the past as a senior member of the Research and Policy teams of the Law Society of England and Wales, the London Borough of Islington, the Commission for Racial Equality and the London Research Centre. She is a Trustee of Rowntree Society and a governor at the Mount School York. She is also a member of the Advisory Group for the National Consumer Council. Danielle has extensive experience in maximising the impact of giving and looks forward to working with the Foundation's Trustees to develop the programmes and ways of working that will meet our objectives of "making a difference".

Gerhard Roggemann is a Vice Chairman of Hawkpoint Partners Europe and is responsible for the development of Hawkpoint's German business, particularly in the Financial Services area.
