Gary Loveman is Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. A former associate professor at the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration, Loveman joined the Fortune 500 company as Chief Operating Officer in 1998 and drew on his extensive background in retail marketing and service-management to develop and implement the gaming industry's most successful loyalty program, Total Rewards. Today, Total Rewards boasts more than 40 million customers and is largely responsible for the company's consistent same-store sales gains. Since being named CEO in January 2003, Loveman has presided over a period of growth and profitability that culminated in Harrah's June 2005 acquisition of Caesars Entertainment, Inc. -- at $9.4 billion, the largest single transaction in the industry's history. In December 2006, Harrah's agreed to go private in a $29 billion transaction led by private equity firms Texas Pacific Group and Apollo. Harrah's performance has led to its inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, a group of international companies noted for creating long-term shareholder value, for six consecutive years. It also earned Loveman the distinction of being recognized as the gaming and lodging industry's best CEO by Institutional Investor magazine for four consecutive years. Loveman is the chairman of the American Gaming Association and an outside director of Coach, Inc. J. Carlos Tolosa is President of the Eastern Division of Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc. In that capacity, he is responsible for the company’s casino operations in New Jersey, North Carolina, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas and Missouri.
Tolosa began his career with the company in 1971 and held various management positions with Holiday Inns, Inc., a former parent company of Harrah’s Entertainment. In 1993, Tolosa rose to the position of Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Operations for Embassy Suites Hotels, a division of Promus Hotels, also a former parent company of Harrah’s Entertainment. A year later, he assumed the role of Division President for Harrah’s Indian Gaming, overseeing properties in several U.S. states. And prior to his current role, he was President of the company’s Western Division.
Tolosa graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1973 and the Advanced Management for the Hospitality Industry (ALPHI) program at the University of Guelph-Ontario, Canada in 1984.

John Payne is Central Division President of Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc. In this role, he oversees the operations of the company’s nine casino properties in Louisiana, Indiana and Mississippi.
Payne joined Harrah’s in 1995 as a President’s Associate, then subsequently held Assistant General Manager positions at Harrah’s Prairie Band in Mayetta, Kan., and at the company’s former East Chicago property. In March 2000, he was promoted to Senior Vice President and General Manager of Harrah’s former property in Lake Charles, La., and two years later, he assumed the same role at Harrah’s New Orleans. He was promoted to Gulf Coast Regional President in 2005 before becoming Atlantic City Regional President later in the year.
Payne is active in several charitable, civic and community organizations, including the Jewish Community Center of Atlantic County, Shore Memorial Hospital, the Casino Association of New Jersey, the New Orleans Metropolitan Visitors and Convention Bureau, the New Orleans Tourist Marketing Corporation and the Audubon Institute. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Duke University and a master’s degree in business, finance and marketing from Northwestern University.
Michael is the president, Asia-Pacific region of Harrah's Entertainment, Inc., a Fortune 500 company listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: HET). At Harrah's Michael is responsible for the conceptualization and development of Harrah's businesses in Asia. Prior to his current role, Michael was a Corporate Director and Executive Associate to the Chairman, President & CEO of Harrah's, where he worked closely with the CEO on strategic projects. This work included the evaluation of online and mobile business opportunities related to the World Series of Poker, and the development of HET's Asia strategy. Prior to joining Harrah's in 2005, Chen was the Founder and CEO of Enkata Technologies, Inc. - a leading enterprise performance management software company focused on enabling major service-intensive enterprises to better deliver customer service and drive enhanced loyalty. The concept for Enkata was inspired by the Service Profit Chain, a business methodology championed by Gary Loveman, CEO of Harrah's. Chen founded the company in 1999 and attracted major customers including United Healthcare, CIGNA Healthcare, SBC, Accenture, and Aetna.

Mary Thomas is the senior vice president of human resources for Harrah's Entertainment, Inc.
