FusionOne was founded in 1998 with the goal of creating products and services to help users of mobile devices access their files and information across all of their devices. FusionOne's growth and success revolves around the phenomenal rise in the use of mobile phones around the world, and in the way those phones impact the lives of people everywhere. We began by creating our powerful, synchronization technology platform. In 1999 we launched our first product based on this platform - the FusionOne synchronization service, the earliest version of what is now known as the FusionOne Services Platform (FSP). This service enabled users - for the very first time - to easily and securely synchronize a broad range of files, including e-mail, calendar, browser settings and music. In 2001, the FusionOne platform was extended to support the growing need for wireless mobile device synchronization. FusionOne also led industry efforts to establish an open standard for mobile synchronization - SyncML, which today is known as the Open Mobile Alliance Data Synchronization Working Group. In 2004, FusionOne and Verizon Wireless launched the first fully automatic mobile content backup service. Today, Backup Assistant for Verizon Wireless, the Verizon-branded version of FusionOne's MightyBackup service, is one of the most popular and successful services in the mobile phone industry. Backup Assistant has been ranked in the top ten among revenue-generating downloadable mobile applications for all carriers, and was the number one non-game revenue generating mobile application for Verizon Wireless. In June 2008, FusionOne announced Network Address Book, a new product that centralizes address books across a wide range of communications services and consolidates these address books into a single, globally accessible, address book. Network Address Book will launch with Embarq in the later part of 2008. FusionOne's customers include Verizon Wireless, Cellular South, Embarq, Bell Mobility, Alltel, and many others. The company also supports users directly across 120 networks in 59 countries. In addition, FusionOne works closely with content partners and handset manufacturers to ensure third-party support for its services.
