General Chemical (Soda Ash) Partners is jointly owned by General Chemical Industrial Products Inc. (75%) and O-I (25%). O-I, based in Toledo, OH, is one of the world's largest consumers of soda ash and is the world leader in glass container manufacture. General Chemical (Soda Ash) Partners is a member of the American Natural Soda Ash Company (ANSAC), the export cooperative representing four of the five United States producers. ANSAC enhances the United States producers' low cost position by leveraging the cooperatives' global sales and marketing operations and creating distribution economies of scale. ANSAC sells soda ash in all global export markets except Western Europe and Canada. General Chemical has local sales representation and terminaling operations in both Western Europe and Canada.

Timothy J. Bernlohr is the chairman of the Company's Compensation Committee and a member of the Strategy Committee. He is the founder and managing member of TJB Management Consulting, LLC, which specializes in providing project-specific consulting services to businesses in transformation. Mr. Bernlohr was formerly president and CEO of RBX Industries, Inc., a designer, manufacturer and marketer of closed-cell rubber and plastic materials for the automotive, construction and industrial markets. RBX Industries, Inc. filed a voluntary petition for reorganization under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in March 2004. Prior to joining RBX in 1997, Mr. Bernlohr spent 16 years in sales and marketing management in the International and Industry Products division of Armstrong World Industries. Mr. Bernlohr serves on the board of directors of other corporations, including Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. He earned his bachelor's degree in 1981 from Pennsylvania State University.
