Dr. Alfred Young is a Professor of History at Georgia Southern University. He received his Ph.D. in Social Sciences from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University. Dr. Young has published a monograph, journal articles, encyclopedia entries, essays and most recently co-authored, Africana Studies: Past Present and Future. His long and active career epitomizes the motto of NCBS Promoting Academic Excellence and Social Responsibility. During his tenure at GSU, he has created and served as Director of the African and African American Studies Program, and introduced the Model Organization of African Unity (now African Union) to Georgia Southern University. To facilitate the development of Africana/Black Studies at GSU, he has successfully won numerous grants and awards, including a $126,374 grant from the US Department of Education, International Studies and Foreign Language Program. Professor Young's fund raising and managerial skills have served NCBS well since his election as Treasurer in 1998. Through his work with community groups and organizations, Professor Young has extended Africana/Black Studies beyond the academy.

Cynthia is a 1986 graduate of Georgia Southern College with a BS in Mathematic and minor in Computer Science. She received here Master of Science in Educational Computering from Iona College (New York) in 1993. Cynthia is currently employed with Georgia Southern University as the Information Analyst for the Controller's Office. She is the CSA bookkeeper and secretary as well as the CSA webpage Webmaster. Cynthia has a son, Diquan.

Jacqueline K. Eastman is an Associate Professor of Marketing at Georgia Southern University. She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Ohio State University in 1986, majoring in Marketing, and her Ph.D., majoring in Marketing, from the Florida State University in 1993. Prior to coming to Georgia Southern University in 2007, she was at Valdosta State University from 1993 to 2007 in the Department of Marketing and Economics. She also served as MBA Director from 1995 to 2000. She has published three dozen journal articles in journals such as the Journal of Business Research, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Advertising, Journal of Marketing Education, and Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice among others. Her research interests are in scale development, ethics, Internet strategy, and web-based teaching. She has also served as the Vice President for Programs and President for the Association of Marketing Theory and Practice. She is currently on the Editorial Review Boards for the Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice and Marketing Education Review. Dr. Eastman has taught Marketing on the undergraduate and MBA level and is currently teaching online in the Georgia WebMBA program.
Jeremy Lavender is a graduate of the Student Ministry at FBC Statesboro. He is an Honor's Student majoring in English at Georgia Southern University. Jeremy enjoys getting to know people and being there for them through good times and bad. His hobbies include writing, reading, hiking, running, singing, listening to music, and relaxing with friends.

Dr. Karl B. Manrodt is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management, Marketing & Logistics at Georgia Southern University. Research interests revolve around the role of information in logistics systems, performance measurement and technology. In addition to serving as the editor of the Journal of Transportation Management, his publications have appeared in such journals as the Supply Chain Management Review, Transportation Journal, the International Journal of Physical Distribution and Materials Management, Interfaces, and the Journal of Business Logistics. His research on top shippers has appeared in Logistics Management for the last 16 years.

Larry Bryant, upon completion of his professional baseball career in the Atlanta Braves organization, was a member of the Georgia Southern University coaching staff for 20 years. Widely known as a top clinician and national and international pitching mentor, Bryant has coached 8 All-American pitchers, two first round draft picks, and over 25 players have been drafted under his guidance. A former draft choice of the Atlanta Braves organization, Bryant's 1990 staff won 50 games in route to an appearance at the College World Series in Omaha. He continues to be a highly sought after clinic speaker. He has worked as a Head Coach for the International Baseball Federation in Israel, South Africa, Japan, Curacao, and Austria. He is currently a professor in the Department of Public Health at Georgia Southern University.
Dr. Li Ma, Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Ma is an associate professor at Georgia Southern University. She received a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Georgia, an M.S. in physics from the Chinese University of Science and Technology, and was a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Ma served as SynZyme's Research Director from 1992 to 1998 and VP of R&D from 1998 to 2002

Thomas Buckhoff is an associate professor of forensic accounting at Georgia Southern University, and was also a principal at FraudWise LLC, which has been integrated into Computer Forensic Services. Dr. Buckhoff received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Accountancy from Brigham Young University, and his Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Kentucky. He is a certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and has worked as a senior forensic accountant with Eide Bailly LLP Fraudwise division, and as the Eide Bailly Professor of Forensic Accounting at North Dakota State University. With 30 years of construction and development experience, Phil was most recently responsible for directing all Duke Construction operations in Georgia and Florida including Pre-Construction Services, Project Management, Field Operations, Tenant Finish, and Duke Construction Services. While in his various roles with Duke, Phil managed the construction of more than 15 million square feet of office and industrial construction. Prior to Duke's purchase of the Weeks Corporation, Phil was Senior Vice President of Weeks Construction, responsible for all day-to-day operations of a $350,000,000 general contractor. Phil received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industry from Georgia Southern University. He is a member of the Georgia Southern University Building Construction Advisory Board, a past member of the Board of Directors of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Georgia and the Construction Education Foundation of Georgia.
