Dr. Arkady Glukhovsky has served as our Vice President-Chief Scientist since November 2001 and prior to that as our Vice President-Research and Development since 1998. Prior to joining us, from 1995 to 1998, Dr. Glukhovsky served as Vice President-Research and Development of S.A.E. Afikim Ltd., an Israeli company that develops and manufactures dairy management systems. From 1986 to 1994, Dr. Glukhovsky headed academic and industrial research projects in a number of academic and industrial institutions, including the Israel Institute of Technology. During his military service from 1980 to 1985, Dr. Glukhovsky served as an officer in the Israeli Navy. Dr. Glukhovsky holds an M.Sc. and a B.Sc. in electrical engineering and a D.Sc. in biomedical engineering from the Israel Institute of Technology.

David Mason has served as our Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer since November 2008. Prior to joining Given Imaging, Mr. Mason was the founding partner and Chief Medical Officer at Percept BioSciences. Prior to that, from 2003 until 2007, he was Vice President and Global Head of Inflammation at UCB Pharma. From 2000 until the end of 2003, he was Senior Vice President of Clinical Research and Regulatory Affairs at AVI BioPharma and from 1994 until 2000 he was Vice President and Head of Medical Affairs at Elan Pharmaceuticals. From 1985 until 1993, he held several senior roles at Somatogen, Lederle Laboratories and Ciba-Geigy. Prior to becoming a business executive, Dr. Mason was in private practice of Internal Medicine in North Carolina and also was an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases at the University of Michigan Medical Center, where he did his postgraduate training. Dr. Mason holds a BA in Chemistry from Willams College and an MD from Duke University School of Medicine. Dr. Mason is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Israel Raz has served as our Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer since April 2008. He brings over twenty years of experience in leading global marketing, strategy, new market growth, and product development of innovative medical devices for diverse market segments: Molecular Imaging, Cardiovascular Ultrasound, Cardiac and Neurological Surgical Monitoring, Neurophysiology, Digital EEG, Epilepsy Monitoring, Sleep Medicine, and Hearing Assessment. Prior to joining Given Imaging, Mr. Raz worked at GE Healthcare since 2001, where he served as a Global Product Manager for the Cardiovascular Ultrasound business, and then as the GM of Global Marketing for the Molecular Imaging business portfolio. Between 1986-2000, Mr. Raz worked at Bio-logic Systems Corp, a small Medical Device company, in several marketing positions leaving as the Director of Marketing. His industry tenure was preceded by academic teaching and post-doctoral research at Northwestern University. Mr. Raz holds a BA and MA in Audiology from Tel-Aviv University School of Medicine, a Ph.D. in Speech & Hearing Sciences from the University of Kansas, and an Executive MBA from The Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University.
Kevin Rubey has served as our Vice President and Chief Operations Officer since June 2001. Prior to joining us, from 1998 to May 2001, Mr. Rubey worked at Eastman Kodak Company, a consumer and professional photographic and information imaging company where he led manufacturing and operations for the Health Imaging Business Unit. From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Rubey was Manufacturing Director of the Medical Imaging Business Unit of Imation Corporation, a US information technology company specializing in data storage and color image management. Prior to that, from 1977 to 1996, Mr. Rubey worked at the 3M Corporation in a variety of positions in the health, consumer and information technologies businesses. Mr. Rubey holds a B.Sc. in mechanical engineering and an M.B.A. from the University of Minnesota.
Professor Samuel N. Adler, M.D. is a member of the Medical Advisory Committee of Given. He has been Chief, Division of Gastroenterology, Bikur Holim Hospital, Jerusalem since 1986, and Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the School of Health Sciences since 1987. Professor Adler holds his degree from the Medical Faculty of the University of Basel, Switzerland (1976). His previous academic appointments include Attending, the Division of Gastroenterology, South Nassau Communities Hospital, Oceanside, New York (1983-1985), Attending, the Division of Gastroenterology, Nassau Hospital Minneola, New York (1983-1985), Attending, the Division of Gastroenterology, Mercy Hospital, Rockville Center, New York (1983-1985), Attending, the Division of Gastroenterology, Nassau County Medical Center (1981-1985), Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine, School of Medicine, Health Sciences Center at the State University of New York at Stony Brook (1982), and Director of Clinical Physiology Laboratory, Division of Gastroenterology, Nassau County Medical Center (1981-1982). Dr. Adler has received 4 awards: "Dr. Ghani Mohammed Award" (Coney Island Hospital), "Most Outstanding Intern" 1977, "Virginia Nash Award" (Coney Island Hospital), and "Most Outstanding Resident" 1978. Dr. Adler is a member of the following societies: American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterology Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the Israel Gastroenterology Association. Professor Adler has written 16 publications since 1974.

Kazem Samandari has served as our Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific/Japan Region since July 2007. Mr. Samandari has a long and successful track record of identifying technology- driven product concepts and taking them through successful commercialization. Mr. Samandari enjoys a versatile experience in both entrepreneurial and well established high-tech companies.
Prior to joining us Mr. Samandari held a variety of executive positions. From 2004 to 2007 Mr. Samandari was Executive Vice President Global Sales & Marketing at Eastman Kodak, Inkjet Printing Solutions, a company which advances the knowledge of visual capture organization & output in the digital world, spanning many scientific disciplines from optics and color science to advanced computer sciences and manufacture of sophisticated equipment. Mr. Samandari was responsible for worldwide sales & sales support, marketing & business development of a significant Kodak division. From 1994 to 2004 Mr. Samandari served as the Vice President of Scitex Digital Printing operations in Asia Pacific & Japan and was responsible for the commercial, technical & legal aspects of the activities in the region. From 1986 to 1994 Mr. Samandari served as Managing Director of GMC Digital Systems, a high-tech start-up company founded in 1984, pioneer in the field of high speed, high performance, digital printing equipment. Mr. Samandari holds a PhD in technical sciences and industrial economy from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and a M.S. degree in electrical & electronics engineering.

Pablo Halpern has served as our Vice President-Global Sales and Marketing since 1999. Prior to joining us, from 1994 to 1999, he served as General Manager of Ultramind International Ltd. (now Ultrasys plc), a British company that manufactures personal computer-based products for the medical professional market. From 1991 to 1994, Mr. Halpern was an international marketing consultant with the Israeli Export Institute. From 1989 to 1991, Mr. Halpern served as General Manager of Barspec Ltd., an Israeli company that manufactured products for the analytical instrumentation market. Mr. Halpern holds a B.Sc. in electro-mechanical engineering and an M.Sc. in electrical engineering from the faculty of engineering, Buenos Aires National University.
Yoram Ashery has served as our Vice President-Business Development since April 2001. Prior to joining us, from 1995 to April 2001, Mr. Ashery was a corporate attorney, practicing in the high-tech and medical fields as an associate and, from January 2000, as a partner, with the law firm of Zellermayer, Pelossof & Co., who are also our legal counsel. Prior to that, Mr. Ashery served at the Office of the Attorney General of the Government of Israel, from 1993 to 1994, during which period he also completed his internship under the direct supervision of the Israeli Attorney General. From 1992 to 1996, Mr. Ashery also served as a junior lecturer in Tax Law at the Buchman Faculty of Law of the Tel-Aviv University. Mr. Ashery holds an LL.B. from the Buchman Faculty of Law of the Tel-Aviv University and a B.A. in Economics from the School of Social Sciences of the Tel-Aviv University.

Ido Warshavski has served as our General Counsel & Corporate Secretary since September 2004. Prior to joining us, from September 1999 to August 2004, Mr. Warshavski was a corporate attorney at Proskauer Rose LLP in New York, where he practiced general corporate and securities law, representing clients in public and private offerings, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters. Prior to that, from June 1997 to July 1998, Mr. Warshavski practiced commercial litigation at the firm of Weksler, Bregman & Co. in Tel Aviv, handling a variety of commercial disputes, and served as a junior lecturer in Civil Procedure at the College of Management Law School. Prior to that, from March 1996 until March 1997, as an intern at the firm of S. Horowitz & Co, he specialized in the areas of employment law and medical malpractice. Mr. Warshavski holds an LL.B., cum laude, from the College of Management Law School in Israel, and an LL.M. from Duke University School of Law in Durham, North Carolina.
Zvi Fireman, M.D. is a consultant to Given and a member of the Medical Advisory Committee. Dr. Fireman has served as Head of the Gastroenterology Department at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, Hadera since 1992, and has held a teaching position there since 1995. Dr. Fireman holds his medical degree from Medical School Bologna, Italy (1974). In addition, Dr. Fireman has been a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, Technion Haifa since 1998. Dr. Fireman is involved in the following public professional activities: since 1999, Secretary of the Gastroenterology Tract Oncology section of the Israel Gastroenterology Association; since 1998, Member of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Committee of the Israel Gastroenterological Association; since 1998, Israel's representative in the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy - Public Information Campaign on Colorectal Cancer and Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease. Dr. Fireman served as a lecturer at the School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University between 1989-1998 and an Instructor between 1979-1988. Prior to his current appointment, Dr. Fireman served as a Senior Gastroenterologist at the Hasharon Medical Center (1987-1992), as a Senior Gastroenterologist at the Ichilov Medical Center, Tel Aviv (1984-1987), and as a research fellow at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York (1983). Dr. Fireman served as a supervisor for 12 theses students since 1996, with 3 additional theses currently under his supervision. Since 1983, he has received 8 grants for cancer research. Dr. Fireman's publications include 67 papers in professional journals, and 5 books.

Dr. Megiddo has a rich background in life science entrepreneurship and investing. Prior to joining Jerusalem Global Ventures, she served as a consultant to numerous venture capital funds. An entrepreneur by nature, in 1987, Dr. Megiddo founded the Israeli medical audio magazine The Journal Club; and in 1994 she founded Academia Medica, a well known multimedia medical teaching program. Dr. Megiddo received her MD from the Hebrew University, and an MBA from the Kellog-Recanati International Executive MBA Program at Tel Aviv University and Northwestern University.

Dennert (Denny) O. Ware has served as a director since July 2007. Since April 2008, Mr. Ware has also been a director of Pelikan Technologies, Inc., a company developing products for the self monitoring blood glucose business. Prior to joining our board of directors, he served as a Director, President and Chief Executive Officer of Kinetic Concepts, Inc., or KCI, from April 2000 to December 2006. Before joining KCI, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Boehringer Mannheim Corporation, a market leader in medical diagnostic equipment. He joined Boehringer in 1972 as Vice President of Technical Affairs of DePuy, the company's Orthopedic Division. He later held senior management positions in the Diagnostic Division and became President and Chief Executive Officer of Boehringer Mannheim's North American operations in 1997 a position he held until the acquisition of Boehringer Mannheim Group by Hoffman La Roche in 1998. After this acquisition, Mr. Ware continued on as President and Chief Executive Officer of Roche Diagnostics Corp until the end of 1999. Mr. Ware holds a BSChE degree from Purdue University and an M.B.A from Indiana University.

Joined the Company in October 2003. He has worked extensively in medical device development. Dr. Jacob has consulted for a number of medical device companies and previously served as the Director of Medical Affairs at Given Imaging, a publicly traded company (NASD-GIVN). Dr. Jacob was instrumental in the development and launch of the Given Imaging Pillcam, a capsule with a miniature camera that transmits images to an external recorder as it naturally progresses through the digestive tract. Dr. Jacob is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He has patented and licensed a number of medical devices in use today.

Professor Scapa has held several teaching positions at Tel Aviv University (1986-1991) and at Harvard Medical School (1981-1982). Among his publications since 1973, Professor Scapa has published 43 original articles, 13 case reports, 24 abstracts and 7 book reviews.
