Glenayre can pull sound and substance out of thin air. Founded in 1987 and headquartered in New York, NY, Glenayre Technologies, Inc. is a communications and entertainment company. It operates as two units: Entertainment, providing the entertainment industry with CDs, DVDs, jewel boxes and printed materials; and Glenayre Messaging, offering voice, data, fax and messaging services to wireless and regional telephone companies. The company had 2005 revenue of about $267.8 million and employs approximately 2,190 people. In July 2006, it acquired the shares of Deluxe Global Media Services Blackburn Limited, a subsidiary of The Rank Group plc, for a purchase price of approximately $6 million in cash, excluding expenses, and subject to customary balance sheet and working capital adjustments.

He had an illustrious technical career with Bell Laboratories and Western Electric, which included being granted 36 U.S. Patents in various networking and communications disciplines.
