Sherry Richard is Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Information Technology for Transocean Ltd. In this role, she is responsible for the company’s worldwide Human Resources functions and worldwide Information Technology infrastructure and applications. She brings over 20 years of energy-related experience to the company, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for GlobalSantaFe Corporation. Prior to that, she was Vice President of Human Resources for Chevron Phillips Chemical Company from 2000 through mid-2003. Ms. Richard began her career with Phillips Petroleum Company (now ConocoPhillips) in 1980 serving in a variety of human resources, operational , commercial and international roles. From 1980 to 1995, she held both generalist and specialist roles domestically and in Norway. In 1995, she became Manager of the San Juan Basin in New Mexico with responsibility for all aspects of exploration and production in that region. In 1998, she became Manager of North America Gas Marketing with commercial responsibility for gas sales, and gathering and processing arrangements. She served as Manager of Corporate Planning immediately prior to joining Chevron Phillips. Ms. Richard holds a B.S and MBA from Murray State University in Kentucky.
