John E. Dowling is vice president of operations at Sycamore Networks, Inc. where he is responsible for all manufacturing and systems integration activities. Mr. Dowling has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications and data networking industries, and is recognized as a pioneer in adapting manufacturing partnerships to meet customers' requirements for scheduling and quality.

John Scully is vice president of worldwide sales and support at Sycamore Networks, where he is responsible for leading Sycamore's sales, professional services, and customer support operations on a global basis. Mr. Scully brings to Sycamore more than 20 years of sales, marketing, and management experience in the communications industry.

Gururaj "Desh" Deshpande has served as Chairman of Sycamore's board of directors since its inception in February 1998. He served as Sycamore's Treasurer and Secretary from February 1998 to June 1999 and as Sycamore's President from February 1998 to October 1998. Before founding Sycamore, Mr. Deshpande founded Cascade Communications Corp., a provider of wide area network switches. From October 1990 to April 1992, Mr. Deshpande served as President of Cascade and from April 1992 to June 1997, he served as Cascade's Executive Vice President of Marketing and Customer Service. Mr. Deshpande was a member of the board of directors of Cascade since its inception and was chairman of the board of directors of Cascade from 1996 to 1997.

John Gerdelman is a co-founder and executive chairman of Intelliden Corp., a software solutions company. In 2002, John took on the bankruptcy reorganization of Metromedia Fiber Networks and successfully emerged from Chapter 11 in late 2003. Prior to this, he worked with several new ventures as managing member of Mortonsgroup LLC. He has held various positions with MCI Telecommunications Corporation and Baxter Travenol Corporation. Gerdelman served in the U.S. Navy as a naval aviator and received his bachelor's degree in chemistry from the College of William and Mary where he now serves on the Board of Visitors. He currently serves as a director of McData, APAC, Sycamore Networks, Inc. and YDI Wireless.
