Darren Celebrado, a native Hawaiian, joined Granite Bay Golf Club as Executive Chef in July of 2004. Born in Honolulu and raised in Oahu, Darren pulls much of his style, specialties and love for cooking from Pacific Rim cuisine. His talent should be attributed to his extensive training and apprenticeship program at the Hyatt Waikiki, which offers "the finest in international cuisine in distinctive settings". While cooking for the award-winning resort, Darren attended cooking school where is became well-versed in traditional French and Pacific Rim cuisine. A few years later, Darren was transferred to Sacramento, to the Hyatt of Sacramento, the winner of a dinning award for Best Hotel Restaurant, training under Chef Masa Nishiyama. Darren has entertained and tantalized customers as Chef at Bugatti's Restaurant, Dawson's Restaurant, and Ciaoyama Restaurant. Most recently, Darren was the Executive Sous Chef at the Hyatt La Jolla.
