Ms. Stewart has been a Senior Vice President of Granite since February, 2008. In June of 2008 she was appointed Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Granite, Ms. Stewart was at Nash Finch Company as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 2004 to 2007, and as a Vice President and Corporate Controller from 2000 to 2004. She has served on the Board of Trustees of the College of St. Benedict since 1995. Ms. Stewart became a Certified Public Accountant in 1987, received a B.A. in Accounting from the College of St. Benedict in 1987 and an M.B.A. in Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1997.

Darryl explains that every day brings something new with pipeline work, and that he enjoys the abilities and camaraderie of the engineers, operators and laborers with whom he works.

Kim Waltner Vice President Ms. Waltner is responsible for securing debt and equity, internal financial reporting, legal review and investment oversight. Prior to joining GLC she was the CEO for an environmental engineering company with Fortune 100 clients located throughout the US. She has worked on strategic planning, financing, acquisitions and dispositions, and management of real estate and operating companies. Ms. Waltner is a Certified Property Manager with more than 15 years experience in commercial real estate asset management and leasing for investment portfolios consisting of office, industrial and retail properties.

Ms. McDonald has served as President, Gas and Power, BHP Billiton since March 29, 2004. She was formerly the President of the Houston Museum of Natural Science, a position she assumed in October 2001. Prior to joining the museum, she was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Enron Global Assets between February 1999 and May 2001. She currently serves as a director of The BOC Group. Ms. McDonald holds a B.S. degree in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University.

Marci Embree Manager, Real Estate Investments Mrs. Embree is responsible for managing GLC's existing real estate investments including non-performing assets and a number of retail and development projects. She started with Granite Construction in 1992 working with the construction materials group then joined GLC just after its inception in 2000. Mrs. Embree works closely with our development partners, lending institutions and public agencies to ensure a project's success.

Mr. Harmon has overall responsibility for GLC Finance Team functions, primarily financial reporting, forecasting, financial compliance, and tax analysis. He additionally supports the GLC project team in analysis of major transactions and finance-related activities. Mr. Harmon worked in public finance and public accounting before joining GLC in 2003.

You might say that Corporate Receptionist Kerry Griffin has Granite in her veins. While she has been with the company for over 30 years, her father, Bob Deane spent 40 years as a Granite man, starting in the late 1940s as an accountant and eventually retiring as a general accounting manager for corporate.

I was going into my junior year at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo when a friend told me about a construction company named Granite Construction that was doing a recruiting seminar for Construction Management and Civil Engineering majors. I went to the information session with little to no knowledge of what or who Granite Construction was. All I knew was that this company related to civil engineering majors somehow. The information session lasted about an hour and at the end I knew who Granite was, what they were about and felt like this might be a field that I would like to try out. I signed myself up for the interview session for the next day, and I went in not really hoping for a job, but just wanting the interview experience. I logged onto the Internet that evening and acquired all the information I could from the Granite website to prepare for my interview. The interview lasted 15 minutes, with a "Thank you for stopping by and interviewing," at the end. I went home that evening thinking that I wouldn't be hearing from Granite again. Well about four months later, Brian Fox was on the other end of the phone wanting me to do a co-op with Granite for six months. I jumped at the chance and ended up at the Central Valley Branch (CVB) in Fresno, California. I had a great experience with a good group of people and was privileged to learn everything I could about Granite and the construction industry under the guidance of seasoned professionals. The Chief Estimator and Branch Manager felt that I might fit in well with the team and said, "I would have a home here at Granite CVB if I decided to return." A full year and a half later, after I graduated from Cal Poly with my Civil Engineering degree, Granite hired me full time. I am extremely fortunate to have found a job that fulfills my ambitions and I am satisfied at a job well done at the end of each day. Granite Construction is a wonderful place to work and the knowledge sharing and team building are great aspects of a diversified group.

Mr. Kelsey has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Sealed Air Corporation, an S&P 500 manufacturer of specialty packaging for food and other protective applications, since December 2003 and served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer between January 2002 and December 2003. From 1998 to 2001, he served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Oglebay Norton Company, a Russell 3000 company in the industrial mineral and aggregates industry. Mr. Kelsey holds a B.S.E. degree in Civil and Geological Engineering from Princeton University and an M.B.A. degree from Harvard University Graduate School of Business.

Mr. Bjork served as Chief Executive Officer of Skanska AB, Sweden, one of the world s largest construction companies, from 1997 to 2002. He also served as President of Skanska USA from 1984 to 1996, Vice President from 1978 to 1984 and held various project management and field positions within Skanska USA from 1969 to 1977. From 1998 through 2000, Mr. Bjork served as Chairman of Scancem Cement Company. He currently serves on the board of Consolidated Management Group, Qlik Technologies, Inc., and the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce. He studied Civil Engineering in Sweden. Age 63.

Mr. Niebla has served as President of International Technology Partners L.L.C., an information technology consulting company based in Orange County, California since August 1998. Mr. Niebla is a director of Union Bank of California, Pacific Life Corp and Integrated Healthcare Holdings, Inc. He holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona and an M.S. QBA from the University of Southern California. Age 68.

JAMES W. BRADFORD, 59, Dean, Owen Graduate School of Management, Vanderbilt University. Mr. Bradford, who joined Genesco s board in 2005, was named Dean and Ralph Owen Professor for the Practice of Management in the Owen Graduate School of Management of Vanderbilt University in 2005. He joined the Owen School faculty and administration in 2002. He was president and chief executive officer of United Glass Corporation from 1999 to 2001 and president and chief executive officer of AFG Industries, Inc. from 1992 to 1999.
