Dow Jones Description
The investment in Stag represents an opportunity to acquire the largest and most profitable RV parts distributor in a market with only one other national competitor. Stag's scale gives it cost and service benefits over regional competitors in each of its local markets. With a fragmented customer base of over 2,000 RV dealers that do not have the resources to purchase directly, and more than 500 suppliers that have limited capability to sell directly, Stag has established itself as a critical distribution link in the industry. Stag sells parts and accessories primarily to the installed base of RV users making it less dependent on annual demand for new RV units and allowing it to benefit from the stable and growing base of over 6 million RV users. Stag's focus on the RV market allows it to capitalize on the favorable demographic trends and the growing breadth and complexity of RVs and RV components driving demand for aftermarket RV parts and accessories.
