Marc Foman is the owner and founder of Marc's Guitar Center. He and his wife Linda Volz have been operating the business since 1978. He holds a bachelor's degree in honors English from the University of Massachusetts. Marc has an extensive musical background both performing in bands and teaching guitar dating back to 1963. He has played in bands that reflect the evolving history of rock guitar from doo-wop to metal. You can often find him on the sales floor of his store talking about his two favorite subjects: Beatles music & music theory as it applies to the guitar fretboard.

Until 2002, George R. Mrkonic was Vice Chairman of Borders Group, Inc., (BGI) the second largest book retailer in the U.S. He joined BGI in 1994 as President and Vice Chairman. Mr. Mrkonic began his retail career in 1978 and has led several retail companies including Herman's Sporting Goods, Eyelab and Kmart's Specialty Retailing Group. He acquired Borders for Kmart in 1992, merged it with Waldenbooks and subsequently took the combined entity public in 1995. Mr. Mrkonic led Borders international growth, which now includes strong positions in the United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore and New Zealand. Mr. Mrkonic is Chairman of Paperchase (a UK gifts and stationery retailer), Lead Director of Guitar Center, Inc. and a director of a variety of other retail and consumer-oriented companies. Mr. Mrkonic graduated from Stanford University in 1974 with an MA and BA in Economics, and received an MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration in 1978.

Zachary Fosnaugh is Music Director at City Church Chicago. He works at Guitar Center as the sales training manager, and is a music instructor at Intonation Music Workshop. He graduated from Illinois State University in 2006 with a B.S. in Music Business. Zachary started expressing his love for music at the age of three when he began playing drums. Since then, he has performed with rock bands, jazz big bands, jazz combos, orchestras, wind ensembles, percussion ensembles, show choirs, and jazz choir. His love for music has opened up traveling opportunities in the Caribbean Islands, Africa, and Europe as a drummer. Zachary is excited to share his love for God, people, and music with the city of Chicago, IL.

Ken Knop is a Senior Consultant with Columbus Consulting. Prior to joining Columbus Consulting, Ken held various positions over a 20 year career with retail, software and consulting firms, including Mervyn's, Millers Outpost, Contempo Casuals, Comshare (Arthur), Ready To Plan, and Planalytics. Ken's retail business experience spans all aspects of merchandising including buying, planning and allocation/distribution positions. Building upon his retail experience and expertise, Ken has been working as a consultant with retailers and wholesalers to enhance their planning and allocation processes and systems since 1994. Ken has designed and implemented Merchandise Planning, Store Planning, Space Planning, Assortment Planning & Allocation business functions for both retailers and wholesalers utilizing a variety of packaged applications. Among the packaged applications that he has implemented are Arthur, i2, and Alphameric/Compass.
