D. Edward (Ted) Smyth is executive vice president, Corporate Affairs and executive assistant to Harold (Terry) McGraw III, the chairman, president and chief executive officer of The McGraw-Hill Companies. He manages the marketing, communications, government affairs and community relations activities of the Corporation, and advises the chairman on matters involving the Board of Directors and the management and operation of the Corporation. Before joining The McGraw-Hill Companies in 2009, Ted was chief administrative officer and senior vice president at the H.J. Heinz Company, where he was responsible for human resources, and corporate and government affairs. During his tenure at Heinz, the company expanded rapidly in overseas markets such as India, China, Russia, Spain and Indonesia. Ted was chairman of Heinz’s Global Communications Council, and a member of the Office of the Chairman. Ted joined Heinz in March 1988 following a 15-year career as an Irish diplomat. He is a native of Ireland and served in embassies in Switzerland, Portugal, the United States and Great Britain. He has published several articles on public policy and speaks regularly at conferences in the United States and Europe. Ted is an honors graduate in History and Political Science from Trinity College, Dublin. He is a Director of the Africa America Institute, the Ireland Funds and Glucksman Ireland House at New York University, and a member of the Global Studies Program of the Center for International Studies at the University of Pittsburgh.

William C. Springer is a retired Executive Vice President with H.J. Heinz Company. He worked at H.J. Heinz from 1974 to 2000 and held various management and executive positions including head of Heinz North America, Heinz U.S.A. and H.J. Heinz of Canada. Mr. Springer served as a director of Highmark from 1996 through April, 2006.

Charles E. Bunch is chairman and CEO of PPG Industries. A PPG director since 2002, he is also a director of H.J. Heinz Co.

"Retired Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, The Chubb Corporation Dean R. O’Hare retired in December, 2002 as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Chubb Corporation, based in Warren, New Jersey. He joined Chubb as an underwriting trainee in 1963 and was later named an officer of the corporation, then Chief Financial Officer and finally President in 1986. He holds a B.S. degree in financial management from New York University and an M.B.A. from Pace University Graduate School of Business Administration. He is a leading voice on international trade issues and is Vice-Chairman of The United States Council on International Business and has served as a member of the President’s Trade Advisory Committee. Mr. O’Hare presently is a director of the Fluor Corporation, Chairman of the Board of Seapass, director of DFA Capital Management and a director of AGL Resources. Mr. O’Hare is active in many philanthropic organizations. He is Co-Chairman of the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, a trustee and Chairman of the Finance Committee of St. Benedict’s Preparatory School in Newark, New Jersey, Chairman Emeritis of the New Jersey Partnership, a trustee of the University of Dublin in Ireland and a trustee of the Intrepid Museum in New York. Mr. O’Hare is married to Kathleen Walliser and has two sons. "

O'Hare, of Far Hills, New Jersey, joined Chubb in 1963 as an underwriting trainee and was named an officer of the corporation in 1972, chief financial officer in 1980, president in1986, and chairman and chief executive officer in 1988 where he served until his retirement in 2002. O’Hare is chairman of the Partnership for New Jersey: A coalition of leaders of the state's major corporations in association with nonprofit institutions and smaller businesses committed to act in partnership with government and the independent sector to make New Jersey a better place to live and work. He has been a director of HJ Heinz Company since 2000. O’Hare has been a director of the Fluor Corporation since 1997 and is presently chairman of the Audit Committee of the board. One of the world's largest publicly owned engineering, procurement, construction, and maintenance services organizations, Fluor’s global clients include those in the oil and gas industry. A leading voice on international trade issues, O’Hare is vice-chairman of the United States Council for International Business and has served as a member of the President’s Trade Advisory Committee, chairman of the U.S. Coalition of Service Industries, member and immediate past chairman of the U.S. - India Council, member of the Global Business Dialogue on Electronic Commerce, and a financial governor of the World Economic Forum (Davos). Mr. Coleman signed on with Major League Baseball in 1992 as executive director—market development. Previously, Mr. Coleman was a municipal finance banker for Kidder, Peabody & Company. Prior to joining Kidder, Mr. Coleman served as commissioner of both the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs and Department of Energy, and chairman of the Hackensack Meadowlands Development Commission and the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency. He was also chairman of the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports from 2002-2005. A former All-Pro wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers and 2001 Hall of Famer, he spent 29 years with ABC Sports as a sports analyst and broadcaster before retiring in 2006. Since 1980 he has been the National Spokesman for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. He now serves on their National Board of Directors and was President of the national board from 1993 – 1995. Mr. Swann holds a B.A. degree in public relations from the University of Southern California. He and his wife, Dr. Charena Swann, and their two sons reside in Pittsburgh. "

Mr. Usher graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering, a master of science degree in operations research and a doctorate in systems engineering. He joined United States Steel Corporation (later renamed USX Corporation) in 1965 and held various positions in industrial engineering. From 1975 through 1979, he held a number of management positions at U.S. Steel's South and Gary Works. Mr. Usher was elected Executive Vice President of Heavy Products in 1986, President of U.S. Steel Group and Director of USX in 1991, President and Chief Operating Officer of USX in 1994 and Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer effective July 1, 1995. He retired from United States Steel Corporation as Chief Executive Officer in September 2004 and as non-executive Chairman of the Board on February 1, 2006. Mr. Usher serves on the Boards of Directors of H. J. Heinz Co., The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. and PPG Industries, Inc. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Pittsburgh and a Board of Directors member of the Extra Mile Education Foundation. Mr. Usher is a member of The Business Council.
