Making electrical connections! Founded in 1900, Hagemeyer N.V. (Euronext Amsterdam: HGM) is a business-to-business distribution services group. It focuses on the markets for electrical materials, safety and other maintenance repair and operations products. Its clients are electrical contractors and installers in the commercial and industrial market, and industrial users. It also provides customers with integrated supply services, like procurement and inventory management, to improve their customer service and increase their efficiency and competitiveness. The company has revenue of about $7 billion, is based in Naarden, The Netherlands, and employs over 17,000 people. In December 2005 the company acquired from General Electric the remaining 50% of the shares in El-Centrum, a wholesale distributor of electrical parts and supplies with nationwide coverage in Poland.
