In 1976, Lance Hampel, a determined young man with a vision, established the L. T. Hampel Corporation. Lance started out as a Contract Thermoformer with customers like International Harvester, Bendix and John Deere. In 1980 Hampel developed its first proprietary product, Calf-Tel. It was then that Lance made the decision to produce only premium products after all his name would be on all of them. 30 years later, some of our customers have changed, but our commitment to build the best products has not. In fact, this commitment has become stronger. In 1978, Hampel pioneered the art and science of reinforcing thermoformed plastic parts with steel, which Hampel has appropriately named SteelSpan. This capability, unique to Hampel worldwide, has made us an industry leader in reusable plastic packaging for heavy items and rackable plastic pallets that are lightweight, rugged and competitively priced. In the mid 90s, using the thermoforming expertise and our state of the art equipment developed over the years, Hampel entered the portable restroom market and introduced the Country Classic. This premium portable restroom was designed and built with Hampel's continued commitment to only the best for our customers. Several years later, Hampel introduced the Global portable restroom, a high quality, extremely rugged portable restroom for general use. Never losing sight of its roots, Hampel continues to supply custom thermoformed parts to its OEM customer base. Most of our original customers, including John Deere (27 years) and Harley Davidson (20 years) continue to buy from Hampel today in ever increasing volumes. This commitment from and to our customers is certainly a reflection of Hampel's commitment to quality, service and competitive pricing.
