Founded more than 40 years ago by Bernard C. Harris at the family's kitchen table, the goal of Harris Connect has never changed. Today, as then, we are dedicated to one thing: helping strengthen the bonds between you and your constituents. Although this commitment has never wavered, we have transformed our solutions over the years as our clients' needs have evolved. At the outset, the Bernard C. Harris Publishing Company focused primarily on producing directories for regionally based alumni clubs, usually with less than 3,000 members. In the 1960s, we expanded the company's reach when we produced our first two national no cost directories for Fordham University and Manhattan College. As it turns out, this was just the beginning. Throughout the next three decades, we quickly moved into new markets - working with independent and parochial secondary schools, as well as nonprofit and membership-based associations. By the early 1990s, we had created a distinct directory program to meet the unique needs of public high schools. We continued to develop products designed to help our clients achieve their goals, and we refined our data research processes so that we were able to find more lost alumni and members with each directory project.
