Howard L. Lance is chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer of Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS). Harris is a leading global provider of communications and information technology products, software, systems, and services to government, defense, and commercial markets. Corporate headquarters are located in Melbourne, Florida, and 16,000 employees serve customers in more than 150 countries. The Company has annual revenue of $5.4 billion. Mr. Lance was appointed president and chief executive officer in January 2003 and elected to the Board of Directors. He was elected chairman in June 2003. Before joining Harris, Mr. Lance was president of NCR Corporation and chief operating officer of its Retail and Financial Group. Previously, he spent 17 years with Emerson Electric Co., where he held senior management positions including executive vice president of its Electronics and Telecommunications segment; chief executive officer and director of its Astec electronics subsidiary in Hong Kong; group vice president of its Climate Technologies segment; and president of its Copeland Refrigeration division. Mr. Lance, age 53, was born in East Peoria, Illinois, and began his career at Caterpillar, Inc., in their engineering co-op program. He earned a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering from Bradley University, and a master of science degree in management from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University. Mr. Lance was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve on the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee. Mr. Lance is a director of Harris Stratex Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:HSTX), and Eastman Chemical Company (NYSE:EMN); chairman of the Board of Directors of the United Way of Brevard County, Florida; and chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Manufacturers Alliance/MAPI. Cheryl L. Janey is president of the Civil Programs business unit of Government Communications Systems Division (GCSD). She is responsible for program execution and the development of new business within civilian agencies of the U.S. Government. Ms. Janey reports to the group president of GCSD. The Civil Programs business unit, which includes Homeland Security (HLS) initiatives, develops and produces advanced communications and information systems for federal and civilian agencies of the U.S. Government and their prime contractors. Ms. Janey joined Harris in 2007. Prior to that, he held the position of vice president and general manager of the DoD Programs business unit. Ted Hengst is president of Harris IT Services. Mr. Hengst is responsible for leading all aspects of IT Services, an industry leader in providing information technology services to the U.S. Government. He is also responsible for working closely with our division leadership teams, key staff members, and customers to shape Harris IT Services' growth strategies. Before joining Harris, Mr. Hengst served as senior vice president, Army Solutions, for General Dynamics in Fairfax, Virginia. In this role he was responsible for the daily operations and integration activities of a $1 billion newly created business division. Prior to this assignment, he was vice president and general manager for Army and Civil Solutions-a $600 million business where he led the capture of programs such as TEIS, ITES-2S, and DHS-EAGLE. Before taking the position at General Dynamics, Mr. Hengst served in the U.S. Army, retiring with the rank of colonel in 2002. His last assignment was as Chief Information Officer (CIO) and J6 at U.S. Special Operations Command at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. As CIO, Mr. Hengst was responsible for planning, funding, and execution of all phases of information, computing, and communications resources for a 46,000-person command. Mr. Hengst earned a B.S. in engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and an M.S. in management information systems from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.

Timothy E. “Tim” Thorsteinson was named president of Harris Broadcast Communications Division, effective July 1, 2006. He was previously president of the Leitch Technology business unit of the Broadcast Communications Division. Mr. Thorsteinson joined the company in October 2005 following Harris’ acquisition of Leitch Technology Corporation, where he was president and CEO. Mr. Thorsteinson joined Leitch in November 2003, and led the company’s financial turnaround and expansion through organic growth and acquisitions. Wesley B. (Wes) Covell is president of the Defense Programs business unit, reporting to the group president of Government Communications Systems Division (GCSD). Gary L. McArthur is senior vice president and chief financial officer of Harris Corporation. Robert K. Henry is executive vice president and chief operating officer of Harris Corporation. Mr. Miller is responsible for IT architecture, application development and support, global computing and network operations, employee collaboration, worldwide telecommunications, and enterprise security. Mr. Miller joined Harris in 1985 as a research engineer with the company's former Semiconductor business. Since then he has held engineering and management positions of increasing responsibility. He served as director of Harris' Corporate Information Technology Advisory Staff through 1997. Mr. Miller was promoted to vice president of Corporate Information Management in 1998 and was selected to lead the company's worldwide IT functions in 1999. Gene Cavallucci is vice president—general counsel of Harris Corporation. Mr. Cavallucci joined Harris in 1990. Leslie F. Kenne, Lieutenant General USAF (Ret.), 60, retired in September 2003 from the U.S. Air Force, where she had most recently been Deputy Chief of Staff for Warfighting Integration at Air Force headquarters in Washington, D.C. Previously, she commanded the Electronic Systems Center at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts. She also directed a number of major procurement programs, including the F-16 and Joint Strike Fighter programs. Following her retirement from the U.S. Air Force, Ms. Kenne became President of The Kenne Group, a private independent consulting firm for various defense companies and/or agencies. Ms. Kenne has been a member of our Board since April 2004 and is Chairperson of the Business Conduct and Corporate Responsibility Committee and a member of the Corporate Governance Committee. Ms. Kenne is also a director of Unisys Corporation.

Lewis Hay III, 52, is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of FPL Group, Inc., a public utility holding company, and is Chairman of both Florida Power and Light Company and FPL Energy, LLC. He joined FPL Group in 1999 as Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer. From March 2000 until December 2001, he served as President of FPL Groupa s competitive energy subsidiary, FPL Energy, LLC. He was named President and Chief Executive Officer of FPL Group in June 2001 and relinquished the title of President in December 2006. He was named Chairman in January 2002. Mr. Hay has been a member of our Board since February 2002 and is Chairperson of the Corporate Governance Committee and a member of the Audit Committee. In addition to being a director of FPL Group, Mr. Hay is also a director of Capital One Financial Corporation, Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations, a director of the Florida Council of 100, a member of the Business Roundtable and a member of the Business Board of Advisors of the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.
