Originally founded in 1908, Hayes Lemmerz International, Inc. is a leading worldwide producer of aluminum and steel wheels for passenger cars and light trucks and of steel wheels for commercial trucks and trailers. Hayes Lemmerz is a leading supplier of powertrain components. The Company has global operations with 22 facilities, including business and sales offices and manufacturing facilities located in 13 countries around the world. Hayes Lemmerz sells its products to every major North American, Japanese, and European manufacturer of passenger cars and light trucks and to commercial highway vehicle customers throughout the world. Mohsen Sohi is the President and CEO of Freudenberg-NOK. Prior to joining Freudenberg, Mr. Sohi was employed by NCR Corporation from 2001 until 2003. Mr. Sohi s last position with NCR was as the Senior Vice President, Retail Solutions Division. Before serving NCR in this position, Mr. Sohi spent more than 14 years at AlliedSignal, Inc. and its post-merger successor, Honeywell International Inc. From July 2000 to January 2001, he served as President, Honeywell Electronic Materials. From August 1999 to July 2000, Mr. Sohi was President, Commercial Vehicle Systems, at AlliedSignal. William H. Cunningham, Ph.D., has served as a member of our Board of Directors since July 2000. Dr. Cunningham served as Chancellor and Chief Executive Officer of The University of Texas System from 1992 to 2000, in addition to holding the Lee Hage and Joseph D. Jamail Regents Chair in Higher Education Leadership. He served as President of The University of Texas at Austin, a component institution of the University of Texas System, from 1985 to 1992. He is currently a Professor of Marketing at The University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Cunningham serves on a number of public commissions, private corporate boards and in a number of advisory roles to corporations. Dr. Cunningham serves on the board of directors of John Hancock Advisers, Inc. and John Hancock Funds II and III. He also serves on the board of directors of Lincoln National Corporation, Southwest Airlines, Inc., LIN Television Corporation and Hayes Lemmerz International, Inc., each of which is a publicly-traded corporation. Dr. Cunningham received his Ph.D. and M.B.A. from Michigan State University.
