Ron Satow, PT, OCS graduated from CSU Northridge / UCLA's physical therapy program in 1981. He first started his career at Santa Monica College as an athletic trainer. In 1984 he volunteered his services to the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee as the Athletic Training Coordinator for the men's and women's marathon. While in Santa Monica he opened an office within the Pritikin Longevity Center, taught "Understanding injuries of the aerobic athlete" through UCLA's extension fitness department, and worked for the "CoolMax" triathlon team. Ron then moved to Mammoth Lakes, CA, where he was the director of physical therapy for the Mammoth Centinela Hospital. There he worked with Mammoth Mountain Ski Corporation in developing and implementing the "Mammoth Physicals". A program he also implemented at Heavenly Ski Corporation and Steamboat Springs Ski Corporation. Always striving to stay abreast of his profession, Ron left Mammoth to enroll in the Kaiser West Los Angeles Orthopedic Residency. This one year residency provided advanced studies in Manual Therapy and Movement sciences. After graduation Ron sat for and passed board certification in orthopedic physical therapy. He then accepted the position of Clinical Supervisor in HealthCare Partners Physical Therapy department. At HealthCare Partners he lead the department to developing it's own residency program which was accredited by the APTA, one of only seven accredited residency programs in the nation. Ron co-ventured Torrance Physical Therapy with PRN in 2003.
