He is a board member at Nashville's Adventure Science Center and for the Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in business with concentrations in finance, economics, and marketing from Trinity University. Arthur E. Newman joined HealthStream in January 2000 and is currently the executive vice president. The Company's finance & accounting, systems, and human resources departments are among Mr. Newman's executive responsibilities. He previously served as executive vice president overseeing finance, human resources, information systems and customer service and fulfillment for Lippincott, Williams and Wilkins, formerly Waverly, Inc., a publicly traded medical sciences publisher. From August 1999 to January 2000, Mr. Newman served as the chief technology officer for Wolters Kluwer's scientific, technical and medical companies consisting of five separate units. Mr. Newman holds a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from the University of Miami and a Masters of Business Administration from Rutgers University.

Gerard ("Gerry") M. Hayden, Jr. joined us as senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) in mid-May 2008 after resigning from HealthStream's Board of Directors, where he had been a Member since 2006. Having led healthcare technology companies, he brings broad industry experience in finance, mergers and acquisitions, and accounting to HealthStream's executive team. Most recently serving as chief financial officer for MedAvant Healthcare Solutions, Mr. Hayden has additional experience serving as chief financial officer for such companies as Private Business, Inc., Covation, Meridian Occupational Healthcare Associates, Inc., ENVOY (now part of WebMD), and Allied Clinical Laboratories, Inc. In his new role at HealthStream, Mr. Hayden will assume leadership for accounting and financial operations. Mr. Hayden holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government and International Studies from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Science in Accounting from Northeastern University.

Jeffrey Doster joined us as senior vice president and chief technology officer (CTO) in mid-May 2008. Mr. Doster has held several senior information technology (IT) positions, including senior vice president and chief technology officer at The Shop at Home Network, LLC and senior vice president of IT at New Roads, Inc. With over 25 years of experience in IT across several companies, he has demonstrated outstanding executive leadership in developing enterprise-level application systems, highly effective business intelligence systems, and innovative Internet commerce platforms. At HealthStream, Mr. Doster will be responsible for leading all aspects of the Company's technology development, including our strategy for technology platforms, product development, and partnerships. Mr. Doster earned undergraduate degrees in both Economics and Business Administration from Towson University, as well as a Masters of Business Administration from Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland.

J. Edward Pearson has served as senior vice president since he joined HealthStream in June 2006. Mr. Pearson assumes responsibility for our research products group, HealthStream Research, including the operations of our Franklin, Tennessee and Baltimore, Maryland offices. Prior to his current position, he served as president and chief executive officer of DigiScript, Inc. Mr. Pearson's tenure in e-healthcare also includes serving as CFO and executive vice president of Inforum, Inc., CFO of HIE, Inc., CEO of empactHealth.com, and CTO and, subsequently, CEO of Medibuy. Starting his career with a Bachelor's Degree of Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University, Mr. Pearson first worked at William Puryear & Company, a public accounting firm, as a CPA.

Dr. Daniell has maintained a private medical practice at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville since 1984. A founding member of the Society for Reproductive Surgeons, he served as past president of the International Society of Gynecologic Endoscopy and the Nashville OB/GYN Society.
Dr. Daniell is also a director of Safer Sleep LLC, a health care and technology company. Dr. Daniell holds a Bachelor of Science from David Lipscomb University and an M.D. from the University of Tennessee.

Jeffrey L. McLaren has served as chief executive officer of Southern Genesis Inc., a management consulting company, since October 2002. During 2005 and 2006 he served as chief executive officer of Safer Sleep LLC, a health care and technology company. Mr. McLaren, one of our co-founders,

Rebrovick leads Dell Inc.'s health care division in the United States, a role in which she is responsible for sales, marketing, customer service and support. Previously, she held a number of positions as BearingPoint, Inc., including executive vice president and chief marketing officer of the company and executive vice president of health care consulting. Currently, Rebrovick serves as chairman of the board for the Nashville Technology Council and is a member of the Board of Directors for HealthStream. Rebrovick received a bachelor's degree from Auburn University and also earned recognition as one of Auburn University's top 400 women graduates in the past 100 years. Shmerling currently serves as a Senior Advisor to Kroll, Inc., having previously served as president and chairman of Kroll's Background Screening Group and executive vice president and chief operating officer. Shmerling has been involved in the founding of several businesses and has worked with many public service organizations. Currently, he is on the board of directors of United Way of Metropolitan Nashville, Nashville Alliance for Public Education, University School of Nashville, Fisk University, and Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC) as board treasurer.
