Depth at secondary could save Broncos
ENGLEWOOD - The Denver Broncos added depth in the secondary this offseason for situations like this. Cornerback Lenny Walls will miss an estimated four games with a dislocated right shoulder, but the Broncos are comfortable they can deal with it. "We're deep back there,"...

1 question, multiple choice
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Coach Mike Shanahan's remarkably adaptable running game has given the Denver Broncos four different 1,000-yard rushers the past six seasons. Wednesday, the Broncos opened training camp needing to answer the latest challenge to the system -- their stunning trade of 22-year-old Pro Bowl running back Clinton...

Does Hearst miss Arizona? Every chance he gets
THE QUESTION stops Garrison Hearst in his tracks. His brain freezes, his brow furrows, and he shoots a gaze that conveys complete mistrust of my sanity. Are you out of your mind? Finally, Hearst spits out half a word. "Shhhhi--," he utters. Hearst pauses. "No," he unleashes. "Nothing." I had...
49ers alumni reunion is special for Kopay
SANTA CLARA -- It has been nearly a year since Garrison Hearst briefly found himself in a firestorm over insensitive comments he made concerning the treatment an openly gay player would receive in the National Football League. It has been more than 30 years since Dave Kopay...
NFL Report card : 49ers vs. Bears
RUNNING BACKSGRADE: B The rotation of Kevan Barlow and Garrison Hearst worked very well. The two ran for a combined 118 yards. Hearst was a big contributor in the receiving game, too. He scored two TDS, one on the ground and one through the air. WIDE...
